And Gamespots GOTY is

The last Nintendo console I owned was the Gamecube. There's only so many times I can save princess peach or assemble a triforce.

Same. But what drew me away from Nintendo was the fact that third-party support always, always, always falters with Nintendo consoles. I blame those silly gimmicky controllers Nintendo always feels the need to build.

Yeah, that didn't help either. I do hope in a few months that my nephew will get bored with his Wii U and I can borrow it (trade him my PS3 for a while) so I can "rent" (buy used at gamestop and return when I finish it) Bayonetta 2.

Thats the way I feel with everything Naughty Dog,EA or Epic Games has made in the past 7 years lol

I'm yet to see what my max is for how many times I can assemble a triforce, and doubt I will ever reach that max though. On the other hand, I'm just about to the point now where Peach can save herself.

I really don't know what to think of this post.

No words. Simply no words. You missed out. My Lord did you miss out on a good childhood of gaming.

Well, to be frank, I have used emulations though when I was really young, and Kirby Superstars on SNES is one of my all-time favorites.

emulators don't do the games justice...

seriously.... Go buy a used Wii, etc., from GS and just play the various 1st party titles... Well worth the experience...

Only console I regret buying and I got it when it was just £40 with Resident Evil 4.

F Zero was awesome.

Not played this but nice to see at least one not doing GTA or TLoU.

Actually GC and Wii looked better then the PS3 and 360 in many cases via emulation.

Yeah, if you're comparing the best Wii/GC had up against some indie game. But come on.......

one could argue you buy the console for the experience of playing the console.... Its the small differences that make it unique...

much in the same way you buy different cars ... Otherwise... You're just driving a car right???

:)

I suggest you look into Dolphin running Wii at 1080p or higher.. In some cases the results are equal to besting 360/PS3.

What....equal or besting games like Gears of War? What about BF3?
What game? Show me some screens.

unless you REALLY enjoy grey, brown with some red Gears is not very pretty to look at. Fun game but hardly gorgeous by any stretch. Artistic style very different but you may or may not get the drift.

Yeah, Gears may not have a wide range of colors but what it does have is an insane amount of detail.

I agree. But I would love to play Wii games in 1080P. Shame the Wii U doesn't upscale.

I tried that Dolphin Emu, but I failed badly.

Xblade and Mario are up there with Gears.

When people down sample above 1080p and then play the emulated games @ 1080p on Dolphin its amazing.
