These kinds of games are rarely good at launch. After launch they still get tons of content added and only then do some of them become good.
There are a few g as mes like that, tbh. To be fair, Graphics do play a significant role in a games enjoyment, imo.The graphics, and the graphics alone.
If this game had AA, mid tier presentation no one would give a **** about it. It's like EA thought Destiny was the future of gaming, invested 4 years into a Destiny clone, only to watch the industry move on from that type of game. This definitely isn't the next big franchise.
I have a feeling this game will bomb hard.
Can anyone in a few short sentences tell me what about this game I should be excited about?
Yeah, my hype is definitely pretty low now. It makes me think of an MMO and that doesn't appeal to me.Didn’t look all that special to be honest. Hopefully it turns out to be great game but I’m not holding my breath.
This game started out as my future GOTY. But as time has gone on and more videos and details come out, my interest has dropped quite a bit.Yeah, my hype is definitely pretty low now. It makes me think of an MMO and that doesn't appeal to me.
I also thought this was supposed to have a more realistic tone, but all the flashing trailers and flipping around seems over-done and looks like a lot of other games. Looks way more like fantasy than Sci-fi. Half of it straight looks like magic. Inconsistent theme.
These devs need to take a page out of R*'s book and realise it's the details, and you don't have to make it bright and flashy to be exciting. I'd much rather see black smoke and explosions that hang in the air long after the fight. Make it kinetic, not cartoony. IMO, anyway...
I definitely dont want to lose battlefield, stupid politics or no. It just provides a good shooter.I'm really starting to think that if EA went out of business it wouldn't be a big deal. Most of the talent would find jobs at other studios. The vast majority of their games are licensed titles that would be picked up by other publishers. Battlefield and Mass Effect are on the decline and who knows what's going to happen with Dragon Age? I'm not saying I want it to happen or that I think it will but I do question what value they bring to the industry as a whole when it comes to creativity.

Dragon age team are currently a skeleton crew most likely due to this.
Get the feeling BioWare are gone if this doesn't deliver.
Is it like Destiny?I played a bit (got the watermarked screens to prove it) but haven't come away with much excitement. It is an alpha, so a lot of stuff isn't implemented and what is isn't final, of course.
But. ehh.
What...repetitive, shallow,a story that a 4 year old could better, lacking content, and only gets worse overtime? Is it like Destiny?
You forgot double dipping monatization, recycled areas, weapons and perks, dumbed down skill trees and builds, poor community communication, charging for content that should be free, providing a full price $60 game and forcing you to buy $100 dollars worth of crappy expansions before more than a year later the game is finally on par with the first game.......I sure hope this game isn't like Destiny!What...repetitive, shallow,a story that a 4 year old could better, lacking content, and only gets worse overtime?
