Apple's October 22nd live event thread. New iPads, Macs and Macbooks expected.

Apple's Live Stream

Apple's October 22nd event is expected to have new iPads and iPad Mini's retina, the long overdue MacPro update, possibly a new MacBook supplanting the MacBook Air. Also, there will be much about Mavericks, the new OSX. Since Maverick's had gone gold a while back it should be launching soon after today's event.

Apple will be doing a live video stream of the event. I'll post a link once the link goes live. In addition, there will be the usual live blogs.

Is it just me or does the ipad air look like a samsung tablet? Even the UI.

All done. I'm underwhelmed. That's a good thing. Nothing to spend money on. The new iPad Air or Mini isn't enough of a jump for me to go from iPad 4 to them. MacPro is out of my price range right now. Thanks, Apple! I don't need to spend any money on you this year!

Wife wants an iPad. She had the Mini but I returned it last month due to rumors of this new release.

She likes the Mini because it weighs so little. Now that the Air is only 1/4 pound heavier, I wonder if I should just get her the Air?

I'm most excited about Mavericks as a lot of the Apple products in this school district need updates and now it's free!!!
