Battlefield 6 will reportedly feature a revamped campaign and multiplayer perks

DICE's new campaign will be playable in co-op and allow players to switch sides, it's claimed

New alleged Battlefield 6 details have been revealed by a reputable leaker, who’s claimed the upcoming shooter will feature a revamped campaign featuring co-op.
According to influencer Tom Henderson, who has published several Battlefield 6 reports over the past months – some corroborated by journalists – DICE’s new instalment will simply be known as Battlefield.

The game will reportedly take place around ten years from now, and feature near future equipment such as military robots and advanced drones, jets, helicopters and tanks.

According to Henderson, DICE has revamped the game’s campaign for a branching story which will allow players to switch sides as they progress, and play through in co-op with other players.

Battlefield 6 will reportedly feature a revamped campaign and multiplayer perks.
“The campaign will focus on you and your specialist unit, where you’ll be able to choose which superpower you fight for,” Henderson claimed.

“Both the USA and Russia, who are the game’s only standing superpowers, will offer to ‘recruit’ your specialist team and their skills throughout the campaign, which will be a valuable asset to both sides.”
On multiplayer, Henderson says players will be able to choose between four different soldier types and customise them with Call of Duty-style “perks”. For example, a Scout soldier might have silent footsteps, whereas an Assault soldier might be able to sprint for a longer duration.

Finally, it’s claimed that Battlefield 6 will feature a separate battle royale mode, disconnected from the Firestorm game added to Battlefield V.
Henderson previously claimed Battlefield 6 would focus on modern-day military combat and that its maps would be “designed with 128+ players in mind”.
Electronic Arts said in January that DICE was “way ahead” of schedule with Battlefield 6 development and that it would reveal the game sometime during spring.
“Our next Battlefield experience will mark a return to all out military warfare,” EA CEO Andrew Wilson commented during the company’s third quarter earnings call.
“The game takes full advantage of the power of next generation platforms to bring massive immersive battles to life with more players than ever before.
“Featuring maps with unprecedented scale, the next edition of Battlefield takes all the destruction, player agency, vehicle and weapon combat that the franchise is known for and elevates it to another level.”
During EA’s recent earnings call, possibly with a nod to Warzone, an analyst asked the company about FPS games using free to play modes to “expand the top funnel” and whether the company had any ambitions to do something similar with Battlefield.
“On Battlefield, we don’t have anything more to share at this point other than we believe it’s going to usher in a new generation for Battlefield games and Battlefield fans benefitting from the full power of next-gen platforms,” EA boss Wilson responded.
COD style perks....this isn't good.

Man battlefield 4 looks rough on consoles, haven't played it in so long, great memories though.

I dont see much wrong with perks. they did near enough the same thing with the squad streaks in 4, which couldn't actually be utilized much playing with randoms. Yes good you ditched the transport chopper to grab the frag round usas good for you. now what about the rest of us

player expression and customization is the way of things today. If they stay away from simple health/damage increases, all is usually well.

If any of these leaks are even accurate to begin with.

I reinstalled it and was just messing around with the helicopters and how fun/hard they are to fly.

I hope they aren't doing the set piece thing where weather or some other event that isn't caused directly by the players comes in and causes most of the destruction. I liked the way it was before when you could tear down most of the things on the map with explosives but they have continued to tone that down as time has gone on.

I really hope that Nov 19 release date is incorrect. Other leaks said they are way ahead of schedule, so I’m hoping more for Sept. Get it out before the next COD.

If the rumors about COD going WW2 are true, they don't need to worry. Even if not, there's plenty of room for both games.

I'll be really disappointed if BF6 is WW2 era.
I want modern weapons and maps.
Agreed, but at least the leaks have been saying the setting is anywhere from 10-30 years from now. Who knows, but I’ve heard absolutely nothing about it being ww2.

BF isn't WW2. It'll be modern. 98% sure unless something changed drastically late development. They're going for next level destruction and scope. You're very limited in that regard if you do WW2.
