I've pretty much decided that Battlefield will be my first game when I get my PS4. 64 player action should be a load of fun, but it's always best to play with friends. So here is my problem, I've been with XBL since day 1 and have a full friends list, but when I hook up my PS4 I'll have no friends at all sniff sniff, 'cos I've not owned a PS since the first.

So who's up for some Battlefield action on the PS4 come Nov 29th and wants to be my friend, pretty please :hehe:.

I'm down. hopefully y'all don't mind bc I always think I'm pretty good .....until I play online.

Hey guys, I got a PS3 about 1 month ago and play a few online games on PS3 mainly THE LAST OF US, EVERYBODY'S GOLF and soon to be GTA 5 :). Also will definitely be getting BATTLEFIELD 4 on the PS4 , so if you want to add me my Online name is: II-JON-RAMBO-II

WHAT? Other than KI I'm most looking forward to BF.

I didn't get into BF3 all that much, and BF4 looks a lot like BF3. Plus, if the port is shoddy, I don't see myself getting it. I dig sci-fi settings more than real world, hence my appreciate of Halo and Killzone, so I think I'd rather spend my time with Shadow Fall. Well, I'm definitely getting Shadow Fall, so no thinking there, I'm just not sure if I want to split my time.

I haven't played a single BF game but the videos they released make me moist. The one video where the guy throws the grenade into the train because people are camping in there and closes the door so they can't just run out made me grin ear to ear.

PSN: Doodzey

I already have some of you on my list, send me a request otherwise. Will probably get Battlefield on PC, but will be on Killzone sometime around launch.

So I have an odd question to ask and I didn't want to make a new thread.

I'm still deciding on whether to get Killzone or Battlefield at the launch of the PS4. They each have their advantages but I think it comes down to this for me...What game is slower paced/more tactical? I just came to the realization, by playing Payday 2 and Splinter Cell Blacklist, that I prefer low kill counts in my multiplayer games. I'd rather down 10 enemies in a 10 minute match than 25 enemies in the same time frame.
I know none of you have a crystal ball but based on previous installments (Killzone 2, Battlefield 3 etc...) where do you think I should lean come November?

I reckon you can play battlefied as tactical as you want. THose maps are so large, you could just lay down somewhere and snipe and camp the whole game if you wanted to and no one will find you. I used to know a few people who played like this.

I am also still tossing up between battlefield and Killzone, but not which one to get but to get both or just Battlefield. I'm definitely getting battlefield and Killzone is looking less likely now, even though it looks pretty, not sure the gameplay will be good.

I don't know. I've seen some footage of Battlefield 4 and it looks like it could be too much. There are explosions going on all over the place, people are respawning on top of each other, gunfire is a constant, and the in your face hud is constantly telling the player something new has happened. I'm sure this stuff "slows down" the more familiar you get with everything but some video's just don't seem appealing to me. I'd like to see some match results from a few Battlefield 4/Shadow Fall multiplayer so I can see kills per minute. Maybe I'll try hunting this down.

It probably depends what mode you play. You could play hardcore and it's totally different. And the people I have played with before are really good at sniping while I prefer run and gunning :)

Ok solders since I'll be getting a new PSN account and I'll be as friendless as Mike Tyson after going bankrupt I'm gonna need some cool people to squad up with. Who's looking for a B grade gamer to team up with and doesn't mind playing with a middle-aged man who will in all likelihood not be wearing any pants at the time?

[edit: This was posted as a separate thread, but as U2 pointed out, it belonged here. - Anderson]

No worries there, I've had the PS4 version preordered for months! I played BC2 on PS3, but played BF3 on 360, so I sorta have an assortment of friends who play Battlefield on both systems. Originally was only getting BF4 on PS4, but some of my BF3 buddies have said they're getting X1's during the holidays, so I may end up splitting time between the two. If only Battlelog allowed your progression to carry over across all platforms!

I was wondering where Jaydee was too, has he signed up yet?
