Title says it all. I got a laptop for my daughter when she started high school this summer, but the thing came along with annoying ads that pop up.
I've tried disabling them when they come up or uninstalling them, but they still keep coming back.

I use AD Block Plus but in your situation I would first install MalwareBytes (free version) and do the update and then run a FULL scan. After it deletes the junk then install AD Block Plus on your browser.

Doesn't sound like a browser issue to me, ads via browsers generally do not require uninstalling, unless they are viruses, malware, etc. Would be surprised if that was the case with a new laptop. His issues sounds more like trialware, where the store he bought it has included lots of crappy trials stuff to make money. However, uninstalling these shouldn't be a big issue. Maybe you need to find the registry entries for them.

If it is just when browsing then do as MilkManx said, malwarebytes first, then an adblocker for your browser of choice.

thx. They must come from the store installed, because it's a new laptop, and she rarely uses it, only when doing homework.

Try uninstalling them as normal but in Safe-Mode without internet.

I've been told that uninstalling regular programs in safe mode is actually less effective. That Safe Mode is more for Viruses or recovering when regular video drivers are bad.

For getting rid of pre-installed junk, try PC Decrappifier

It is mainly used for that, but then, there is no need for safe-mode with normal programs anyway, but look at what he says," I have tried disabling and uninstalling them but they keep coming back." Similar behaviour as a virus, so I treated it like a virus.

I've used this as well with some pretty good luck.

Now days though I've just ditched laptops and build my own computers so I don't have to deal with that crap.
