‘BioShock’ Movie in the Works at Netflix
The streaming giant and game developer Take-Two Interactive have been working on a screen rights deal for close to a year.

Might this be related to Netflix's interest in being a gaming platform / app?
If they still want to do that, could they develop a gaming experience directly tied to movies or shows they make like Bioshock? I don't know if they'd make a full console type game like the originals, but maybe a Mobile game?
Or perhaps their in mini-Metaverse social platform including avatars or environments related to their games and shows including a deal with Bioshock?

Nah, I think they’re just trying to make good on what the fandom wants.
They have Arkane, DOTA, Castlevania, probably others I can’t think of now….there is talk of a crossover of castlevania with devil may cry.
I could be wrong but I think there was talks of lost planet coming
It's a video game movie so it's automatically bad out of the gate. If it's halfway decent I'd be surprised.
Should be a miniseries with each episode exploring different parts of Rapture with each boss as end battle per episode. All plays up to the twist and how it works from there.
But no, they're going to jam 20ish hours of gameplay and story building into 1.75 hours of bulls***.
