So Black Widow and F9 had absolutely great first weekends but had HUGE drop-offs the following weeks.
Black Widow is sitting around $315 million globally and looks like it won't even cross $400 which includes the amount made via Disney+ premium buys. F9 is sitting at $600 million. Neither are going to cross $1 billion and that doesn't bode well for the rest of the year's big releases. You gotta believe Sony and Marvel are definitely concerned (Shang-chi, Eternals and Spidey) especially considering there's a much more aggressive covid strain making the rounds.
I think Shang-Chi and especially Eternals will have to work hard just to be in the green considering they're not the best known properties. Spidey clearly has the biggest production and marketing budget to overcome out of the rest but is the most popular Marvel character BUT is dropping mid-december where the virus is more suited for cold weather
