Bungie: Rips out everything good from D1.About time. Destiny 2 is beaten to death. All I hear from friends who still play are complaints about how it's still not as good as Destiny 1.
It always struck me as odd that they made all that effort to become independent only to sign on to a 10 year deal with Acti right after, which they again ended up breaking free from.Meh, at this point Bungie is a has been developer. They made a lot of bad decisions with Destiny and getting in bed with Activision was also a failed idea as well.
Where are these quality games they still make? Destiny is not a quality game. The 2 things Bungiie were known for was their stories and multiplayer. The writing/Story in Destiny is bad. Which is kinda funny considering how good the lore was. The Crucible is garbage and has been since day 1.It always struck me as odd that they made all that effort to become independent only to sign on to a 10 year deal with Acti right after, which they again ended up breaking free from.
They're still a talented team, they seem to still make quality games with a high level of polish. Destiny wasn't to my liking but I'd love to see them do something totally new and different.

You would have to be talking about that. But it didn't give you much desire to play the game, though.Quality in this context is directed more toward the technical aspects of the game. How good a game's lore /story is is entirely subjective. I'm talking more about things like responsive, intuitive controls, consistent/ smooth gameplay performance and an overall level of polish far too few games ever achieve. I only ever played a tiny bit of the original destiny beta, but it felt good, even if it wasn't a game I ended up having much desire to play, the reasons for that were not in connection with the technical side of the game.

A games quality is about the whole thing. Not just the bits you wanna cherry pick.
See that's what I'm talkin' about. I'd love for Bungie to make a totally new type of game. Not another FPS. If they made a 3rd person hack n' slash action game, that would be something I could potentially be into.In that showcase with Bungie and Phil Spencer they did say they got one more trilogy for the final act of Destiny, as well as something new that they’re not ready to announce.
Who knows if that was the “third person hack and slash mythology” project Marcus was working on before Bungie decided to merge that team with Destiny’s
