Does anyone know of a decent speaker system, but not too expensive, that's good for PS4 and PC?

Well I'm a fan of Onkyo myself. we need more details to help you out man. will you use it for movies do you want 7.1 speakers 5.1 or just a nice sound bar with a sub. Is it for a TV in the living room or for your PC desk area? If you don't want to spend a lot your first bet is an HT in a box if you want 5.1 if it's for a living room type area.

Speakers only?

Best bang for the buck small speakers you can't go wrong with energy take series find deals on Newegg. I've auditioned and owned many sets and they are 5/5 for their price point.

Check out some online only speaker companies like HTD, Hsu, Fluance, Axiom, NHT

Many offer 30 day trails here is a brand comparison...

For gaming, on desk.

I've used Logitech z506 in the past and for the cheap price they went hard, 5.1 and also has a separate aux input so you can play music as well as game, something my expensive unit can't.

Also my mate had some z623s, they are a bit more expensive and only 2.1 but the sound quality was amazing. I've found both on sale a few times too.

But those don't have optical inputs. I don't see the PS4 as having connections for anything other than optical (unless I can't see them)
