Won't I be locked out from using Stasis without Beyond Light?
Yes. Actually frozen out.
Won't I be locked out from using Stasis without Beyond Light?
ehhhh. Maybe? At least at one point it did but I'm pretty sure the original campaign is now locked in the vault and the first couple of DLC. So as far as I know, there isn't a way to enjoy the entire Destiny 2 story from the beginning now.If I wanted to play through a proper single player campaign, does this have that?
TeKPhaN has a clan I joined. I'll be all over the Witch Queen when it releases.Anyone interested in forming a clan now that cross platform is up? I don't play a whole lot now other than some dungeon farming, but I'll be all over Witch Queen.
The removal of paid content is why I deleted the game from my PS5 when I was recently thinking of jumping back in. It just leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and I'm surprised the community is so "OK" with it as they continue to log in and support this game while they complain about other publishers and their scummy practices.I really do love this game. But the game is way too confusing for me. From the levels, the character building and finally how these seasons work. I don't want to pay for stuff and then have it taken away. I felt like I was paying a lot, and I was only logging on a couple times a year and then some of that stuff was not valid anymore.

The thing that sucks though, is that I absolutely love the game play. The removal of paid content is why I deleted the game from my PS5 when I was recently thinking of jumping back in. I stopped cause it is just the same thing over and over again. You can only play new season stuff if you buy BP but the BP sucks. The armour is still dull and boring. Way too much reskinning of old gear. The random perk roll system is garbage. Pretty much all the perks are boring as f***. Still refuse to put matchmaking on the stuff people actually wanna do.I really do love this game. But the game is way too confusing for me. They will not grow the franchise if all they do is cater to those who play the most. They need to strike a balance, the hardcore will not be there forever. They really can't keep all this content spinning up indefinitely. They leave the seasons up for a whole year now. It isn't like you have to quit your job and never go outside to keep up.
It does suck for newer/casual players, but it makes no sense to keep everything active for when people get around to it. There's nothing from a past season you "need" if you didn't play it. Also, there's hardly anyone around to play this old stuff.
Ultimately, do you build the game around those who hardly play it, or those that play it the most? They've really made seasons worthwhile and not just some cosmetic cash grab for once.
I already have pages and pages of old quests and activities taking up room. I mean, at some point this stuff has to go.

Like any service the priority is trying to secure new subscribers while they try to keep those that they have. Destiny doesn't seem too friendly to casual/returning players and they will lose out on that potential growth.
I wonder if that's why Activision bailed, they didn't see much in the way of future growth and more opportunities to milk players.
For me, I didn't get a flying hoot about cosmetics. I just wanted to run around and shoot bad guys. Clearly the game wasn't designed for me. Hated the Stasis system where they just drip fed perks.
It's a looter shooter with terrible, boring loot. They will not grow the franchise if all they do is cater to those who play the most. They need to strike a balance, the hardcore will not be there forever.

It isn't about cosmetics, though. It is that the fundamental aspect of the game, the loot. Is bad. The Super set up is terrible. To play the new content you are forced to buy a crap BP that has nothing worth while in it.For me, I didn't get a flying hoot about cosmetics. I just wanted to run around and shoot bad guys. I don't have any group that I play with. However, when I play and I see people online, I have found it very easy to just join them and play, and we all carry on together. Seems like there is a good amount of people with the same desire for fun in this game. The game is just more fun when you have people to play with. It has problems with loot, builds and a host of other things but when you have a group to play with you can overlook most of them.
Used to have a group that would run one raid a week and it was awesome. The Last Wish is still one of my favorite moments in gaming ever. That raid was so well designed.
I was more talking about the stuff that doesn't have matchmaking (Raids, GM Nightfalls) that's the best content the game has to offer and most people don't get to experience it.I don't have any group that I play with. That's all I do. I follow the campaign and run around the open world. I don't think I have done a RAID or GM Nightfall ever.I was more talking about the stuff that doesn't have matchmaking (Raids, GM Nightfalls) that's the best content the game has to offer and most people don't get to experience it.
Once you have, just running around the open world, running regular strikes etc just seem like a waste of time honestly, the rewards are putrid
