So they are all in Destiny 2. They announced expansions all the way to 2022. New consoles are 4k 60fps.

Sounds pretty good with what they are planning. If you didn't catch it, Dr Lupo had Luke Smith on to talk about the game. Lupo currently going through the document. Honestly not sure why the don't just drop the 2 and call it Destiny. Go with a more MMO style update pattern with big DLC updates every year.

Nope, just another "season" with smaller content (still not sure exactly what we'll be doing). Another season pass and the power level goes up another 50 points.
The fall expansion is Sept 22nd. That will be the bigger DLC more like Shadowkeep and Forsaken.
The new gear this season is awesome. Warlock armor looks great, you get a exotic grenade launcher that leaves blight behind to damage enemies. Looking at future rewards there is a pulse rifle and a kick ass looking sword.

It is nice that the upgrade to next gen is free, but it looks like the next DLC and season costs $70! I assume that covers all the seasons as well but that's a lot. I wonder if them moving away from selling Eververse stuff made the price go up.
This season does seem better than last one (that's not saying much). The event is a little more fun.
Note that if you never did the Whisper mission for the sniper, it is now a quest on Io you can start anytime.

I'll go with the Deluxe I guess. Seems like the best deal since it comes with entire year of season passes.
I am hearing MS got the marketing rights to Destiny 2.
Maybe we(xb owners) can get a exclusive MC skin?
I thought Sony had marketing rights for Destiny 2 and received DLC first and extra content, ages ago.
Just as you said ....a few rumors that MS has marketing rights to upcoming DLC, but I can’t confirm anything.
I just noticed something really annoying with sunsetting. You won't be able to infuse certain weapons and armor after the fall DLC comes out, which is annoying, but still there's different versions of the same gun, one that can be infused, and another that can't.
For example I have a grenade launcher Outrageous Fortune with a good roll, but the icon on it is from the past season (so it won't be useful beyond this September). However if you get a newer version, it will have the icon for the current season and it will be useful. So, basically, I have to go out and get the exact same roll again to be useful. For example I want spike grenades on there (still the best for damage), so I just gotta keep getting new ones until I get the exact same gun, but the updated version.
Something like Dim shows this but you can see the icon in game. Normally, you get a gun and you keep the best roll or two and trash the rest, but now you have to worry about multiple versions of the same gun. I'm not sure I'm describing it well, but it is really annoying.
I was ok with sunsetting some old gear, but they literally are just forcing us to get lucky with the same roll again on the same gun. I'm sure the fall DLC will have a bunch of new gear anyway so this is probably not that important, but it is annoying. If you get drops now, check the icon and see which "version" of a thing you are getting.
