We get it at the same time as the PS4 does. The only difference is that part of content (nobody knows what yet) is locked away from Xbox users until sometime next year.

Nope. Not me. The guardian edition is basically charging an extra 30 bucks for the first two dlc drops. That's the only difference I could see.
Well that was pretty deceptive, I think quite a few ppl thought the whole expansion pack is locked at Xbox, now I think I might buy guardians edition.
I prepurchased the guardian edition yesterday. I remember when the game was first announced around the ps4 reveal one of the last times that I went to gamestop the clerk was visibly angry that I wouldn't preorder.

Pre-loaded mine yesterday morning and then later on I was in the neighborhood of the closest Gamestop in my area (which is 30 minutes from where I live) and went in to cancel my pre-order.
The clerk tried to start some "20 Questions" bullsh*t as to why I would ever want to pre-load my games. I pretty much had to tell him to "Just give me my damn money, oh and by the way, let's go ahead and cancel all my other pre-orders."

lol Gamestop employees. I have never bought anything there without them hounding me at the register about pre-orders, or a PowerUp membership. I can only imagine the hell you went through getting your money back on a pre-order.
Pre-loaded mine...now deciding if I want to take the day off...hmm.

Is it supposed to stay "Queue" section until launch day? I got the Guardian edition and all five of what is included in that is in the queue section and when I go to the manage game it will say "finish installing" (or something like that). I do that and it pops up with 100% downloaded but stays in the queue section. I'm assuming that is normal but wanted to make sure. Every single one says pre-purchased.

Not sure if this will work, but being that NZ & Aus are around 18hrs in from of some parts of the US and releasing here at same time, after you pre down load why not change your region setting to NZ or Aus around 20hrs before launch and start playing early.
The unlocks at PST time no matter what time zone you are in. So it's 7am for me in GMT.
It's unlocked for the Aussies and NZ'er. They are already playing. The game is time locked to the region you bought it from.
