I'm just debating on whether to start a new seasonal character or just get my higher level ones into endgame builds. Definitely looking forward to the gear rework. Might be worth starting over anyway.

As making a new character each season doesn't work for me.
I am waiting on the big paid expansion where we can bring our current characters into it.
Youtubers in general are bad, but Diablo Youtubers are the worst. Just total clickbait nonsense.
There's one guy who just talks monotone and wears a hoodie the entire time who just tells how bad the game is... as he spends each and every day playing.
I've never seen a community so self-hating, and of course that includes COD, BF2042 and Destiny.
I can't help but think it is partially based on who owns them.

Its one thing (even if clickbait) on games stuggling like Skull and bones, Suicide squad, its one thing to make things up that do not remotely reflect reality and run with it.

Yeah, that guy, but there's even worse. This Raxx guy sounds like his dad made him be a Diablo streamer and he hates his life.
Only guy I like is Wudijo or whatever his name is. He just gives his opinion with no drama, and really knows the game.
I’ve seen that guy, he’s terrible lol. Truth is that describes pretty much every live service game. Too many people with no lives who just poop sock these games 24/7 and thus will never be pleased.

I'll never get the whole salty/toxic gamer thing. I play video games to have fun and escape the problems of real life. Politics, work, real life has plenty of drama. I don't need some Youtuber telling me how he plays a game 8 hours a day and how bad it is.

The seasonal XP is accelerated, so it really isn't bad. You can skip the campaign once you've finished, and all those lilith altars carry over. Much of your renown does as well so you get some power boosts from that. You can get 1-50 in a seasonal character very quickly. Plus, your seasonal character ends up in the eternal realm after, so you don't need to get them "done". I usually finish the seasonal stuff long before getting to 100.
Basically, seasons are a great time to try a new class. You need to do seasonal activities to level the battle pass. Otherwise, you can just stay in the eternal realm and ignore the seasonal stuff. You can always pick up your characters in the eternal realm at any time. Just don't buy the battle pass unless you plan on doing seasonal, because nothing else will level it up.
It sounds annoying at first, but ultimately, all your characters end up in the eternal realm. It is only annoying that seasonal characters can't see anything from your eternal realm characters until the season ends (annoying when you have tons of materials you need on one character).
It sounds worse than it is. Overall, this game really isn't a crazy grind that demands you "no-life" it. You can just decide to skip seasons completely and stay in the eternal too.
The best place to find class rankings, build rankings is maxroll.gg. They haven't updated for the new season yet but probably will soon. They rate every build and include the build guide so you don't need to watch long youtube videos.
