It's Early Access right now. It's a standalone version of Don't Starve that incorporates multiplayer. Players who currently own Don't Starve on Steam will get Don't Starve Together for free when it exits Early-Access.

What type of game is dont starve?

Outdoors survival/Eat and Don't Die kind of game. Become one with nature and survive like any homeless man would in the middle of the forest. That would be how I describe the game.

I'm not usually into survival games, but this one has me hooked. I love going into harder modes and having to dodge all the dangerous wildlife while still managing to get stuff. It's very interesting to see how people set-up entire farms and what not.

I wonder if DOn't Starve together will make its way to PS4? I just bought the Giant edition a few days ago. Couch co-op would be rad.

I'm having a lot of fun with the giant edition of the game and recommend it to people who like survival rogue-like kind of games.
