My expectations aren't low per se. Hearing that they were starting over from scratch and scrapping the GaaS model for it did alot for me. However.... outside of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Bioware has been very hit or miss lately with it skewing toward miss more often. Andromeda and Anthem were huge misses that if it were any other company besides Bioware/EA could have sunk the company.

Bioware has to get this one right. They have not had a critical and commercial success since arguably Inquisition and that was in 2014. That a long time to go without a hit in this industry IMO.

My expectations are very low at this point.

Congratulations, you've leveled up your chanter. Here's a pack of skill cards with trash in them, but you can buy more for the low low price of $x.99.

I've never been able to finish one of these games. Maybe that will change with this one but not holding out hope.

Idk. I adored DAI. Put over 80 hours into it. Just played it earlier in the year actually.

I liked a lot of things about it and put a lot of hours into it too but I really hope in the future Mages get more animations for staff combat depending on the element they are using and that the worlds are opened up and bigger so if mounts make it back they are actually fun, they were a total waste in the DA:I, they were slow and felt like tanks to control, there was really no benefit to using a mount in the game.

Jess, how long has this game been in development? I am continously bewilder at how game developers unable to grip the concept of schedule & deadline.

Inquistion grows on you. I did 2 play through. Though I am glad I played it before The Witcher 3. Inquistion's quests outside of the main quests and companion quests were hot garbage.

I remember trying to start it twice but never beat it and forgot why I stopped playing. Same with the Witcher 3. I remember putting like at least 15-20 hours in it but never beat it. 🤔

Yes and dumb downed. I couldn't finish it.
I believe it also had mysterious enemies spawn in, so it was difficult to strategize your party. Plus, it was misleading because you may have focused all your spells, etc. on the last standing enemy only to see more just pop in. That sucked.

I'm cautiously optimistic, because Inquisition while a good/decent game, it left alot to be desired when compared to other games in the genre.

I just hope they learned from Inquisition. Less padding and pointless side-quests, more meaningful stories that tie into the main narrative.
