Mine is working fine.
Shawn Jelsic care to elaborate on this?
Eventually things will wear down, they always do no matter what but one person saying they have an issue is hardly thread worthy let alone cause for alarm, they've surely tested this. For now
It's designed poorly.Eventually things will wear down, they always do no matter what but one person saying they have an issue is hardly thread worthy let alone cause for alarm, they've surely tested this.
They've sold millions of consoles already and likely at least million more controllers on top of that, the article you linked says "thousands" in the headline, when you read the story it says "over a thousand" and when you click on the link to check their source it just takes you to a google search looking for mentions of the issue, not a great source when the body of the article doens't even match the claim in the title and then only uses mentions in google as it's back up.It's designed poorly.
They should of went with metal or a stronger plastic.
I don't see this ending well for Sony who will likely have to come out of pocket to fix it. I expect most triggers to break.
PS5 Players Are Reporting DualSense's Adaptive Triggers Breaking
Thousands of user reports are already cropping up on PlayStation forums around the web.www.thegamer.com
You could've made the same argument for the elite v1 controller, still, here we are and mostly every controller has lost its grip.Eventually things will wear down, they always do no matter what but one person saying they have an issue is hardly thread worthy let alone cause for alarm, they've surely tested this.
Poorly design it is not, clever bit of kit it is, especially for its size and placement...the materials used on the other hand (cheap plastic/springs) and the fact that this is their first time using said tech will always bring gremlins. It’s one reason you shouldn’t buy a new car/platform in its first model year, there will be recalls because real world use/testing presents whole new variables they’ve either didn’t think of or ignored. They've sold millions of consoles already and likely at least million more controllers on top of that, the article you linked says "thousands" in the headline, when you read the story it says "over a thousand" and when you click on the link to check their source it just takes you to a google search looking for mentions of the issue, not a great source when the body of the article doens't even match the claim in the title and then only uses mentions in google as it's back up.
Someone can post about having an issue with a controller on neogaf, that same post gets read and then someone starts a new thread based on that same person's problem only this time it's here or on resetera or reddit etc so it always looks like another person is having problems yet the actual story still cites the original person from the first post on neogaf but for some reason people think it's different people in every post.
Sony and every other company would much rather put this thing out the right way the first time, it's cheaper than constantly replacing controllers that break before the warranty is up. Calling it poorly designed makes no sense when the vast majority of people haven't had an issue with it, could there be faulty controllers? absolutely I'm sure there are as is always the case, can some people be mistreating the controllers and then blaming it on something else? yes that happens too. I think it's rather dumb to jump to conclusions based on a couple of forum posts and clickbait articles though.
That's a damned shame too but it's also not their mainline controller where they'd have to replace millions of them, it's a niche product at a premium price. You could've made the same argument for the elite v1 controller, still, here we are and mostly every controller has lost its grip.
Yeah and I think you jumping to conclusions doesn't make much sense.I jump to my own conclusions based on the way it's made.
It's poorly designed period.
I been saying this before the many reports that are just starting to show up.
Yeah and I think you jumping to conclusions doesn't make much sense.
About 50 secs on. It speaks for itself,if you don't see what I am seeing I dunno what to tell you.
