From what I recall from DF on the netwrok test it was a weird one. PS5 did better in slower movement but XSX did better in faster paced moments...i believe DF gave the nod to PS5 though.
But, all current gen consoles struggled to get to 60FPS.
It played great when I played it on XSX. The only gripe I recall was the slowdown when it started raining.

I've never played demon's souls, dark souls or bloodbourne, but I think I'm gonna check Elden Ring out. It has appealed to me more than their previous work. I know going in I'm going to get my ass handed to me, but it looks at least more in the realm of a game I could enjoy than any of the others mentioned.
PS5, I like the controller better, during the network test it also had slightly better performance than the XSX as well.
just remember to be patient, pay close attention to the enemy move set, and don't get greedy when attacking. Follow those 3 simple rules and you should be ok. You'll still die cause it is all trial and error, but will minimise deaths and help you not get obliterated straight away.
That's how I'm leaning. Play the hell out of Horizon first and get Elden Ring on PS5 later. I just hope I can remain patient because Elden Ring looks like a lot of fun and doesn't look to be as hard as some of the past titles. Or at least, the player has a lot more options for combat that make the challenge seem doable.PS5 when I get around to it.
