After winning the most Game of the Show awards at last June's E3, it looks like Evolve isn't slowing down. It just won most Game of the Show awards at this years stacked Gamescom2014. It kind of wasn't even close.

Here's the hardware Turtle Rock and 2K Games took home...

Game of the Show - Evolve
Best Microsoft Console Game - Evolve
Best PC Game - Evolve
Best Action Game - Evolve
Best Multiplayer Game - Evolve

(This was the result of a total of 140 votes)

The second most celebrated game at Gamescom earned a total of one "win" and one "nomination". This game is getting crazy good impressions from those who have played it.

Interesting to note, it beat out Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the multiplayer award despite this being the unveiling of said games multiplayer offering.

It's going to be a long 6 months until February 2015

It looks good but for this type of competitive playing, I prefer the PC. There's pretty much no storyline in this game so I'm not too attracted to it yet.

As a person who wasn't expecting much from it to then play the Alpha... all I can say is WOW game is amazing and pls be 60 fps on consoles.

Yeah. I wasn't expecting much either but the more I see of this, the more I like.

Smart that they moved out of the crowded 4th quarter. Wouldn't matter how good it is, sales would have suffered going up against Destiny, CoD, Farcry, etc.

I'm pretty confident that you'll enjoy the game. I wasn't expecting much of it either until I played the Alpha.

I'm not so sure. Every fourth quarter there is a Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Battlefield etc... and it seems like every year there are a few surprise games that succeed in that "crowded" window. Plus, there aren't many games that would have been able to compete with Evolve on the multiplayer front this year.

This game really flew under the radar for me. I didn't hear much about Evolve until E3. Now i'm excited for it.

Really excited for this game, like I've said before. Bummed it got pushed out to Feb, but hopefully that just means it'll be even more polished.

Evolve is being funded and published by 2K.
What if 2K make their own game store called 2K Origins? :p

I'm obviously joking at this point. This just seems like a game I'd rather play as either F2P or on a really cheap deal because I don't know if it's gameplay I'd personally enjoy. Especially in the long run.

Game Informer just ran a piece concerning the magazines 50 most anticipated games. You'll never guess what grabbed the number 1 spot.

This game is going to be big folks.

I played it. Not as compelling as Rainbow Six to be honest. But then again, I only got to play as the monster (and easily trounced the humans).

When are they going to announce the 3rd monster?

I know we've got Kraken:

and Goliath:

I think I read somewhere that the next one digs. Like goliath can jump and climb, kraken hovers, this one digs.

Or does goliath dig and that was the result of two separate monsters they mashed up to make him with..or I'm just getting my articles all messed up and should be ignored, hobo-style.

At E3 during one of the demos the dev accidentally kept calling one of the monsters "Grounder". I think that's where that came from. However, I think they clarified that Goliath's name was originally going to be Grounder but it wasn't working out well or something.

Right, I found the IGN article, it was just them speculating what the next one could be, digging was one.

I'm hoping for a smaller, stealthier monster. Weak health, survives by being hard to hit.
