I mean they’ve had how many years to do this update to F4. On them.
Star field?

This is why Xbox needs more support studios or better relationships with indie devs to do said work, they can’t turn to obsidian now, even though they want to work on five, maybe they’ll do six?

Agreed, why announce it years back if you weren't planning to deliver any time remotely soon?

Then again, this is the company that announced Elder Scrolls 6 in 2018, who knows how many years away that still is.

They, Tod Howard, Announced fallout 5 already, we’re probably won’t get it into the end of the generation, if we’re lucky

My guess is they announced it thinking Starfield would ship much sooner than it did freeing up resources.

Literally no details and if those screenshots are anything to go by this "next gen update" looks like a low effort update.
Per a different post it will have a quality mode and performance mode. I assume performance will be 4K/60 and quality will be 4K or dynamic 4K/30 with increased settings or some form of raytracing.

That is my point. We have no clue what they have done.

I wonder what the PC version is going to do exactly. FPS wasn't capped and there's already a texture improvement pack (the game looks pretty good on PC even for being older). Not that improvements can't be made, but curious to see.
