Final Fantasy XV to release in Late Q1 2015

I skimmed the article but saw no mention of platform(s). I seem to remember a story a while back stating that FFXV was PS brand only, but is it PS3, PS4 or both?

Because if it's PS4 only that will be another reason for me to get one down the line.

It says in the article, "Square Enix have confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One." Not sure if you catch that or not. :)

Back when FFXV was announced, Square-Enix had also announced that Final Fantasy FFXV will be exclusive to the next gen console platforms, both the PS4 and Xbox One, with last gen consoles being dropped from the list. They jmade the switch so there would be nothing to hold back the visual quality they said. And their dedicate FFXV web page adheres to that.

Damn it. The reasons to buy a PS4 just keep piling up.

I knew I'd eventually get one, I just hoped I wouldn't have that proven for a few more years.

I stopped playing these games at FF13. In fact I barely made it through FF12.
FF13 I just couldn't force myself to finish.

I hated the characters, hated the pace, hated the combat. Sad actually considering I was a HUGE FF fanboy. Still am but only for the first games and of course the PS1 era Final Fantasy games. Still think FF9 is and will always be the best FF I've played.

Yeah, FFXIII was tough to get through. I really enjoyed the combat but when the payoff is more running in a straight line for more random combat, blah...

It did get a smidge better when you get to the planet where you can free roam, but not by much and by then I was bored of the game entirely. I had to force myself to finish the last few chapters just to see how the "story" ended.

Im one of the few who probably genuinely enjoyed FF13. I just don't get all the griping. Yeah it was linear, but it had a very focused story, great combat, and it looked amazing. I was into it big time. I think I put in 150 hours getting all 1000 achievements on it. This series is one of my favorites all time. Ill be there day 1 for FFXV.

One thing that always annoyed me is how they chose to number the MMO's. Why not just call it FF Online?. The numbered titles should have stuck to the single player iterations.
