Its a sacrifice they would be willing to makeBoth Florida and Texas can sink into the ocean. (rip Union members)
I don't understand the bill (haven't read it), does it say that people can't say the word gay? That's an odd bill lolI'm gay I was never taught about gay people in school all the way through high school it was just something you learned outside of school. I do think it would be beneficial to society for kids to be taught to respect people whose families are different than their own and people who are different than they are but leave it at that until they are actually old enough to understand what's being taught.
Kids should be allowed to be kids, they don't need these heavy issues that they won't really understand being taught to them at such a young age. The bill should be more specific for sure but I don't think it's really all that problematic from what I've read and it also talks about teaching gender identity not just about sexual orientation.
Doesn’t explicitly say that, but the language is intentionally vague so that it will be an issue. If a kid has two mothers, or two fathers, they will not be able to talk about their parents in school, and the vague language makes it possible that those parents can be barred from school activities.I don't understand the bill (haven't read it), does it say that people can't say the word gay? Also, it's great that the universally gifted Hollywood celebs speak out on these issues via Twitter, they absolutely seems like the best spokespersons for the ordinary people growing up.
I'm sure most of them have their kids in kindergarten with the rest of the 2-3 job working adults.

Violating freedom of speech?Doesn’t explicitly say that, but the language is intentionally vague so that it will be an issue. Dono bout you but sex-ed was taught in fourth grade at the elementary school I went to. And there were more during middle school. One instructor was like “here’s a box you can put any questions, just don’t write your name on it”, I think it was sixth or seventh grade, and she answered all of them.A kid should be able to say he has two mothers or two fathers, I don't think anyone is for anyone getting deeper into that until after the kids are old enough to understand. We all knew our friends had a mother and a father but as young children that's all that really meant, we had no idea about that nasty sex stuff until later lol.
I don't see how this needs a bill but I also don't think kids need to be taught about being gay specifically until they are old enough to comprehend what that means, all they need to be taught is that they should respect everyone no matter who it is until they are given a real reason not to.
Honestly, considering Amerika gets all riled up of a little nip-slip and seems to think that children gets traumatized of seeing nipples on TV, I'm surprised this thing wasn't already implemented.A kid should be able to say he has two mothers or two fathers, I don't think anyone is for anyone getting deeper into that until after the kids are old enough to understand. Really? how old are you if you don't mind me asking? we didn't have sex ed until freshman year of high school when I went to school. My freshman year was 1987/1988 and before that we weren't taught anything, of course you learn about sex from talking to friends etc so we knew how it all worked before the actual class was given. Funny thing was the cover of our high school yearbook that year had a baby Viking on it (our school's mascot was a viking) because we had 5 pregnant girls in school that year and the administrators who signed off on the cover didn't get the joke lol.Dono bout you but sex-ed was taught in fourth grade at the elementary school I went to. Kids now a days know so much more than we think they know.
i didn’t know I was a boob person until seventh grade, I was like “impressive” but things rounded out in high school lol
I don't believe it's about church with most people, as you said most people are turning away from church anyway. I think it has to do with people wanting to feel like they have some say in what's being taught to their kids and when. I know there are some who do it just to be a******s and others who just want their kids to be allowed to enjoy their childhood without all of this heavy stuff being put on them so young. The thing is, in reality the majority of people aren't super religious or uptight, but it is the vocal minority that just manufacture these issues. Church membership in the US is rapidly declining.
There's this narrative/fear that schools are somehow brainwashing kids into one thing or another. They think that people are "straying" from the church because of stuff like this, but not realizing that in reality people are just tired of their hate and fear mongering.
These church groups play the victim, but in reality are pushing people away with their culture war.
I'm offended that you use my ancestors in that way. You should burn those yearbooks and blacklist all those involved.Funny thing was the cover of our high school yearbook that year had a baby Viking on it
Our "rival" school across town had a Bear as their mascot, when our football teams played they had to have the games at a community college a couple of cities over because it would get a bit rowdy and because neither high school had enough seating for all the people that showed up. You would see cars going through the parking lot with teddy bears being drug behind them with ropes around their necks lol. I can't tell you how many drawings were done in art classes with a viking killing a bear.I'm offended that you use my ancestors in that way. I don't think 5-8 year old kids should be taught anything about sex or reproduction they should just be taught that family is important and that we should respect everyone else's families even if they look different than our own.
I had it in fifth grade, in a Catholic school.Really? how old are you if you don't mind me asking? we didn't have sex ed until freshman year of high school when I went to school. You’d have to use a dead frog though, if you were younger maybe a flash game on pc…I would have been the same year as you and I don't remember if I ever had sex ed. I know I would have signed up for the lab.
