Not at this time. Which theme were you using before? At the bottom of the page there's a button titled "AD Styler." You. An change the color scheme and background photo, or none at all, using that.

I'm thinking about adding photos to the node descriptions but want to wait a while before I tackle that as there are updates coming down the pipeline for this style. As far as the dark bars below each post, I agree, it could be tamer and will look into adjusting it slightly over the coming weeks. I don't want to go too crazy because it's a PIA when I have to do site updates because I have to remember all the changes I make sometimes.

Added the option to have inline spoilers like how spoilers are done on Reddit. To use, select the type you want to be an inline spoiler and then click the "+" up top and select inline spoiler or use the code [ ispoiler ] [ /ispoiler ] without the spaces inside the bracket. To view spoiler, click the "+". Example below.

Official threads will now have a thread cover image to differentiate them from other threads. In addition, "Official threads" should now follow the following titling Official Thread: Name of game/movie/show.
You can see how they will look in the Oculus thread and Homeland thread. As I see more official threads I'll update them. If someone wants to create a thread cover for an official thread, have at it. Dimensions are 1920x200.

Make it 300 pixels in height. That gives it a little more over the top on bottom so no white space appears but 200 pixels will only be visible. The extra 100 pixels is sort of a "bleed" it can even be 210 pixels.

Added custom Google search bar. It's at the top of the column on the right. Now, no need to go to Google.com to search. Just type in your search and a pop-up will come up. Click any link and it opens in a new window.

The one on the same bar as Home, Forums, Gallery, etc? I type something in to there, hit enter, and get a no results found page. Doesn't seem to be going out to Google. Unless I'm doing something wrong (crazy idea, I know).
Ok figured some stuff out:
1. Google search does not show if you are using the reduced width version of the forum
2. The new graphics for official threads are cut off when using reduced width version of the forum
3. Even with the forum running at full width, the image in the official thread is still cut off
Since the image is requested to be at 1900 wide, it must be intended for the widest of monitors. So when designing, once cannot place images on the ends IF they want them to be seen, or if they don't want their image to look like ass...such as my image showing up on the Forza forum.
Edit, the google bar shows up when you click on the FORUM button on the title bar. It does not show up when on the HOME page or when on NEW POSTS or within an actual thread. Please disregard number 1 above.

New themes won't be happening for a long time. Background not sticking, has something to with browser.
I see why, it's because I have my cookies turned off for all sites. Any work around for that?
