Official Thread Forza Motorsport 6

Yeah, go into rivals mode, pick your class (A, B, etc) and hit the button for leaderboards for a particular track/configuration/weather. You may have to select the race, I can't remember. Then there's a button that will toggle through filters and eventually should get to friends.

Then un-friend Menace because he is too damn fast. :tounge:
I will beat his ass :)

How do you find all the names of friends, their times, the tracks to beat them? Can you walk me through an example?

Got to Rivals in the race menu. Choose event or class. Press Y to bring up the leaderboard for a track. Then I think it is X to cycle through the leaderboard and find friends.

It is pretty simple. You will get to grips with it in no time.

If you want to set a specific friend to be your rival on a track, then go to the leaderboard, click on the friends name and choose set as rival. This will allow you to race their Ghost. This is a good way to improve your lap times. Find a friend who is obviously quicker than you and then try to match their ghost.

My lap times around Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca improved a lot when trying to beat Morfeeis. Same as trying to beat Hobosport in the BMW M1 event significantly improved my Watkins Glenn times

A new challenger approaches. I like it.

However...

If you do put up some good times, post them. It doesn't really show easily if a time gets beat.

BTW I put up the 222nd best time at Le Mans night class c. I couldn't run a clean lap during the day for some reason though lol.

Class C! what sort of lap time was that?

That is a big ass track for a low class.

5 minutes plus :)

5 minutes can make all the difference though... just ask Team Toyota from last weekend :)

That is almost as long as doing Nordschleiffe in a class R car :surprise:

No clue what that Toyota comment means. I only watch Touring Cars.

No clue how I didn't end up spinning out in these. To quote Robert Duvall in Days of Thunder, "Great Driving, Great Recovery."

WTF is he doing braking here :smash::smash:

Not the best way to enter a really fast corner.

And how did this not end up a total clusterf***?

I never noticed this before, but his hand after shifting...he hovers it over the steerwheel for a split second, then grabs it. WTF is that?

Cool.

But this game needs big changes on the "campaign" part of the game. It also needs to drop some of the long standing cars and bring a more up to date roster.

Agreed. I'm assuming it'll be a Scorpio launch title so hopefully they jack everything up.

What do you want to see changed in the campaign, outside of it's freakin 100+ hour length to 100% it.

I want something more like Project CARS. I want racing disciplines and career progression.

I kinda do, but mainly because I've been playing these for so long and added depth would be welcome. I am wary of full sim approaches because there can be too much sitting around, tinkering, or worrying about technicalities and regs could be tedious. The tinkering is definitely a PC crowd type thing.

There is value in having a game with great physics and being able to just drive/race, but adding those things as options certainly would go a long way toward the "credibility" of being a sim racer.

So Turn 10 f***ed up leagues by making most free time wins, and now it seems they have f***ed their Forza Racing Championships too.

1 on 1 crap.

Anybody on here gunna sign up for this? Maybe I will face you on the tarmac.

I stick to rivals mode. I never go online to race. Too many morons out there.

Its 1 on 1 and they have to race fair or be disqualified. No reason not to participate.

Oh! and your Rivals times in the 2014 Fiesta and in the Raptor are beaten

I could not get a good run in that Fiesta and I did a bunch of laps. I was like 5 seconds off the pace for some reason. Probably just rust on my part.

I was more messing around with the background music player too, but that makes it hard to hear the tires squealing.

I had a hard time with it as well. I think I beat your time by about 1 second. Which is still 6 seconds off the top people.

I still can't use manual clutch (just manual) even with the Elite controller so I lose some time with that. Still though I know I could find a second or two, but five?!? Damn that's fast. The car is stock so everything else is equal. I wonder if there's some glitch spots on the track. I know Sonoma is finicky with hitting spots that give you "dirty" laps.

Manual with clutch is as easy as manual. Go in to the settings check the 'change handbrake for clutch' and then it is a matter of pressing A +X/B at the same time for shifitng gears. Very simple and very easy.

As for some of those top rivals times. I made the 2nd place my rival and chased him round track. Pretty much all those 129 times are people cutting corners rather than going round them.

Until Turn 10 make the yellow lines the actual track(which they are supposed to be) and stop counting the curbs as on track(which they aren't) then people will keep abusing them.
