Framerate Drops

Since the last update I have been getting framerate drops, and Pocket Infinity's fire rate is erratic. One second the gun will fire the way it should, and the next there is a second or two delay between each shot in its three round burst.

Im playing the digital version of Destiny on the X1. I noticed Bungie mentioned something about the framerate issues in their last weekly update. They seemed to think that Party Chat was causing this. Im fairly certain though that I have had these issues playing solo. Anyone else having these issues?

It's caused by the new voice chat patch. If you are in an Xbox party you should swap to game chat. That helps in a big way.

Is this X1 related only? I've never experienced this problem.

Yeah XB1 only and it seems only if you have party chat and your fireteam is over 3 (raid or crucible..)

Nope. Its an issue with the new chat patch they have introduced. Its not optimised for bandwidth I rekcon and that's directly impacts frames. Its pretty mental actually... Its like matrix style slow downs. I've even seen some people abuse it to beat the raid bosses.

I paided attention today when playing. It does appear to only happen when in party chat. I have gotten 2 patches in the past 2 days, and I think they are trying to fix it. While in party chat today the framerate dropping was more of a hiccup than slowing down for several frames.

Happened to me last night @ the end of a gold tier event against the vex once completed slowed down to probably 10fps for about 5seconds. Wasn't in chat but there were a few us and a ton of crap going on. Only slowdown I've ever noticed.

Issue has been fixed.

Fixed an issue in which using Xbox One party chat induced a slower frame rate

Played last night and I didn't have the problem.
