So, what was Bran doing the whole time? Flying some ravens around? That might be good if he was reporting back the knight king's position.

I enjoyed the episode.

Ghost better not be dead. I figure he'll just pop up out of no where.

Mormont got a decent sendoff. She killed Wun Wun, or a brother.

Yeah I'm saying she shouldn't get a better send off than Ghost. I guess she should since Ghost has always been irrelevant but they f***ed up.

I refuse to believe he really died off screen. He has to be alive.

I've never felt physically drained from a tv show before but this one did it lol, great episode. The shots with the dragons above the clouds were beautiful.

Well that was greatest episode of television I’ve ever seen. They just raised the bar for movies and television for the next decade. After this and Endgame today I’m going to sleep for a week I’m emotion’ed out goodnight.

I just want to say I was actually in this episode, as one of the dead, waaay in the back.
I was on-screen for like 2.5 seconds.

Alright none of that is true, but seriously, I think that might work in a bar conversation.

Overall, great adrenaline-filled episode. Surprising more people didn’t die, but I’m still assuming not all of them are going to make it until the very end.

I'm not sure I like the way the White Walkers were finished off but I suppose they couldn't just let them win. And since they are basically infinite in number, there's only "they're all drones" solution to use.

The dialogue, as expected, was pretty bland. Thanks, D&D.

They set that up last season

The only complaint I have about this episode is a technical one and I've seen a lot of others complain about it too, it was so dark at times it looked blurry on the broadcast, it's a little cleaner streaming but still for something this epic I would have expected something cleaner looking. I understand they want it dark to add to the atmosphere but I hope the blu ray looks cleaner.

That was disappointing. This episode should have been epic but ended up being meh.

The 2 best bits were the Red Woman igniting the swords and the tiny mormont girl doing the giant.

I have to think either the NK isn't really dead or they have just gone off on their own. Can't really believe GRRM was building to that with all the prophecies and such. In fact I think there is no chance this is what he will do. So what ending are they following? Who sits the Iron Throne?

As I said before I come to the show for the spectacle at this point and on that they delivered. Really good directing.

Happy they didn't give more glory to Dany or Jon.
Both were pretty useless against the Night King.

Seen complaints about it being too dark but can only think of the very start, the night king creating the fog and Arya running from the walkers. Both if which were intentional.

Melisandre is in a small list of characters who didn't suffer a violent death.

The compression was abysmal yesterday. So much banding. I had to make the room complete dark to be able to see anything.

Would have liked to see Bran have some impact on it. Better than just making Arya ridiculously OP badass ninja as fan service.

Not shown connection with Arya giving her reconnaissance with the ravens? Maybe we'll learn more next episode when she explains how she ended it... if it is ended?

Agreed. Dude just warged as some ravens and they.....flew away? Didn't seem like he did much, if anything.

I wonder if they'll make some kind of comeback when the gangs at Kings Landing?

I am starting to wonder if they took GRRM's ending and twisted it, or if he really had no clue how to end it.

He did really. He gave her the dagger knowing full well it would lead to that.

I hope they explain the look him and the king gave each other.

Also Theon's redemption might be one of the best stories in any show. I wanted him dead after season 2!

You have to wonder what is meant when its said they have his ending. Is his ending he gave them just "so and so its on the Iron Throne"? Because I would think it would more that. I never really imagined the books ending with Jon or Dany sitting the throne and this is the first time I ever thought the show might be going that way. Maybe its some unexpected twist at the end but whatever it is I'm sure what we saw last night has nothing to do with what he has in mind. Shame we will never know. Unless they really make a mess of it and he gets motivated. Comments he has made even recently lead you to believe this season should be fairly faithful so who knows.

Kind of seems like they may have completely dropped the "Prince That Was Promised". Melisandre was all about that so how are we supposed to not care while still caring that she had a prophesy about Arya killing the NK?

Anyway I'm looking forward to episode 5 where Arya kills Cersei's entire army and Thanos

It was.

What really happened? A few side characters died....no big deaths.
The whole Danny & Eggon bits were lame.
Ary's big episode was 2 minutes of meh followed by such an easy and very unexciting kill of the Night King.
2 seasons of building up to this just wasn't worth it.

Battle of the Bastards waas far better.
