Games that you want to see but probably will never happen

What are games that you'd like to see made but there is a very slim chance that it will ever happen. Maybe it's a sequel to a game you loved, or maybe it's just a certain type of game you want to see made by a certain studio.

For me, before this years E3 I had 3 games on my list, but since Battlefront 3 was announced that list is down to 2:

  1. Shadow of the Colossus 2 - I don't count The Last Guardian, though I don't think that'll see the light of day either. I want a direct sequel/prequel/whatever.
  2. Dragon Quest on the Xbox One. Not only do I want to see the Dragon Quest franchise hit the Xbox One but I want it to be the same style as Dragon Question VII: Journey of the Cursed King. Dragon Quest X game play footage just isn't doing it for me.

Of the above 2, I think #2 is the least likely to ever happen.
 
I wonder what happened to developer (Mist or something like that) that made both of those games? Are they producing any new games for XOne/PS4 or...? I lost track of following the news with them. I thought they did an excellent job with Lost Odyssey.

Mistwalker last co-developed The Last Story on Wii, with AQ Interactive.
My guess is that AQ will aquire them soon.

Ah, totally forgot about The Last Story. I haven't tried it but heard it's good. I will need to get that one day...

I refuse to believe that Half-life 3 will never happen.
 
Brutal Legend 2. Too many people couldn't handle the action RTS style of the gameplay. It was truly magical and made for some great times on xbox live. My greatest bouts would last well over a hour. Also, I'd like to see Serious Sam or Duke Nukem dropped into either the Pokemon Universe or one of the Final Fantasy games. That'd be pretty sweet.

King's Quest VI is in my top 5 of all time. Great memories.

I'd love that too. A 2D HD sprite based remake of Streets of Rage 2 would be awesome. Maybe add in 4 player co-op and I'd be in heaven. Easily some of my best vid game memories were with that game.

YES!!! Legend of Legaia was flipping awesome. And a new Syphon Filter is definitely at the top of my list for new games.
 
  • Champions of Norrath III - Sequel to return to arms (or something similar by Snowblind - I was not blown away by their LOTR game)
  • Morrowind HD re-release
  • Ultima Underworld HD re-release
  • Diablo I and Diablo II console remix/re-release
  • Red Faction: Guerrilla II (because a fully destructible open-world is insanely fun)
