SOCOM would be day one for me. Loved SOCOM 4.There were some crazy rumors of potential Motorstorm and/or Socom reboots for launch, but nothing has panned out yet.
I’m still thinking the big sell will jacked-up versions of Ghosts and TLOU2.

Well when gaf and era are the source...
The only thing that bugs me is stiff facial animation. I feel like they should have a grip on it by now.
Yeah, I'd be shocked if this wasn't delayed like TLOU2. But can sony really afford to delay both? It's less than a month after TLOU2's scheduled date so I guess we'll wait 30 days to hear about that delay
If the PS5 launch library isn't too full I'd consider just holding TLOU2 back for that, if the game is basically done they'll have some time to add some visual and performance upgrades to the game and that'd be a huge launch title. As far as Ghost of Tsushima I'm really looking forward to it but if they need to delay it because this pandemic has interrupted their workflow I'd be totally fine with waiting.
Safety > $$Yeah, I'd be shocked if this wasn't delayed like TLOU2. But can sony really afford to delay both?
That implies that you can only make money while being unsafe, which simply isn't true. The modern tech and services offer options you didn't really have 20 years ago.Safety > $$
I hope that is true. But there are clearly a lot of game delays right now due to the virus. That implies that you can only make money while being unsafe, which simply isn't true. The modern tech and services offer options you didn't really have 20 years ago.
They could release these digitally and make a craptonne. This something you will see embraced more and more in the coming months.

Lot of delays, full stop. But everything stopping has a finacial burden that will need addressing. Granted Xbox and PS have large revenue generating services that will help short term, but even these companies will feel the effect.I hope that is true. Hard to tell if sales would be higher. Digital only makes up 50 to 60 percent of sales. Would digital sales increase? Almost certainly, and significantly so, but enough to off set physical sales, doubtful.Exactly. But if Doom any indicator, I’d think they’d want to get these games out to a captive audience. With engagement rates at an all-time high, I’d think sales would be greater than usual, especially for bigger games.

Can Sony really afford to delay 2 expensive games? TLOU2 makes sense given it has history. GoT is a new IP and perhaps better suited to a digital only release .
Exactly. Which is why I think delaying TLOU2 makes more sense. It has a baseline based on the first and sale expectation will be based on that. Didn't TLOU sell like 12 to 15 million before ghis gen remaster? That is alot of expected money. Its probably more of a question of whether they can afford not to delay them. The sales will be hurt its just a question of how much.
And I would probably say it makes more sense to delay this than TLOU because its new and an unknown.
I would wager Ghosts is next on the delay list. If the supply chain is messed up, which I suspect it is, I highly doubt any platform holder/publisher is going to release any game without the physical copies being available. People like to down play physical medias relevance, especially when it come to games but it still plays a huge part of their revenue.
Yeah, I still buy most if not all my games physically, but if this released digital only you betchoass I'd buy it day one, it's currently my most anticipated release. I'd love for it not to be delayed but as many have already expressed, fear that it will be.
Those games will not be exclusive to the PS5. People would be pissed, and they'd miss out on 100 million potential customers vs the couple million they'll have on 5 by years end.It wouldn't surprise me if this and The Last of Us 2 are worked into the launch window for the PS5. With the Covid-19 effecting supply chains, give the devs time to port their games to the new console. Both titles as exclusive launch titles are very compelling reasons to pick up a PS5 on launch.

Wouldn't need to be exclusive. Get it there for launch, showcase them with PS5 upraded graphics. Job done. Would still be compelling reasons to get a PS5.Those games will not be exclusive to the PS5.
