And most of the patches are really small and not for major issues from what I can tell so they should be held and rolled into a download with other patches instead of having to download a patch almost every day. My sympathies go out to those with internet data caps.

Game is awesome and I'm in no way insinuating anything about the quality of this game. Its just that I'd like to be able to fire up the game and play it and not have to wait for a patch/install on weeknights when my playtime is limited.

The fact that they keep updating the game after noticing whatever they are noticing is great IMO.
As good as the visuals are I do think after a patch or 2 they changed them as they look sharper BUT I notice aliasing that I didn't notice before(only in some areas)

I actually thought of TLOU when playing because of the relationship between the Adukt and child are the same in a sense.

I don't really find them the same because one is actually a father and son and the other is a guy who's lost his daughter escorting a girl he just met to a destination and getting to know and care for her over time.
 
Finished it 30 minutes ago. Had to get on and give my thoughts. GOTY without a doubt. I don't even care what else comes out this year. Red Dead Redemption 2 can take a seat. Sorry Rockstar. The game was absolutely amazing all the way through. Great graphics, great story, and most of all great gameplay. What a joy it was to play. Now to clean up for the platinum.

The only reason red dead would have a shot at beating this is because of multiplayer.
Single player red dead won't touch this.

MP is probably the reason it won't win. GTA and Red Dead are acclaimed because of the SP so if they moved resources over to MP because of the popularity of GTA online I could see it suffering.

I'm saying the package as a whole vs the SP only gow.
Single player will not be better than gow and you can quote it.

I have just got past Helheim and the game has really picked up a notch or two. I can confirm this game is probably my favourite game of all time. It does so many things right and every developer should look at Santa Monica going forward as right now they are the best developer in the industry.
 
Why is there a patch like every day? I swear it looks like they've messed with the lighting in a bad way.

edit: nevermind, this new patch seems to have maybe fixed it (light shafts) from the previous days patch.

The perfect case use for fast patching I guess, lol.

I trust that and my own eyes(comparing the UE4 video i posted) over shacknews.

If someone told me that UE4 engine video was a future game in the gow world id believe them and even if it wasn't...Sony blatantly stole from the UE4.

Why would they lie? Bend is using UE4 for Days Gone. That UE4 video came out in 2012/2013 I doubt they stole anything from them lol.
