For having an expired date on tag. I paid $60-ish today to get tag. The point is, do we really REALLY have to pay like $50+ for a friggin' tag? Really? :( That's a lot money for a sticker.

$60 for a sticker!!! OMG!!!

Just another tax we gots to pay. Getting pulled over and getting cited by a cop is our tax dollars at work yo!

To be honest, I felt like the governments can do whatever they think they can to charge people for money. I can understand tax but $60 or more for a tag is pretty a lot of money. I suspect they're doing it for their own profit? So that they can go out and buy Xbox One and PS4 or something? I seriously hope not, lol. Ugh.

Roads are free and stuff.. so are stop lights.. and cops..so yeah, I'm sure they take your money and buy XBox One's.

Well technically if your sticker is expired that means you haven't had an inspection and driving that car could be hazardous. You're putting people's lives in danger. Think about it that way and $60 doesn't seem like all that much. Which it really isn't anyway.

Well you have plenty of time to get the new tags so it's your fault.

To renew the tag is like renew the marriage every year. Just sayin'

$60 tag: 99% is the tax and %1 is the sticker. :p

Here in ny we have to pay for Reggie every 2 years that's 120 dollars and very year it's 30 for inspection
Pay Reggie? I'm in NY and I have no idea what that refers to.

In Cali, you have to pay for registration every year; mine is an estimated $125. Every other year you have to get a smog check passed; that's an extra 50-60 bucks an addition to that registration fee.

In Nevada you have to smog every year before registration. My registration is only 55 bucks, *hugs old Dodge Daytona*.

That's not entirely accurate for all States. We don't have inspections here in Florida so for us it's just an annual tax to support roads, lights, cops, crap like that.

Ah. NY always got to be different.

The gub'mint wouldn't spend $500 of our tax dollars on an XB1 or $400 on a PS4.

But offer them a $293,355 special edition NeoGEO and they'll buy them sumbitches up!

No inspections and no state income tax are definitely a bonus.

It's amazing how far we are willing to bend over to allow the government to tax us up the ass.

Here in Ma. its $50 state reg. fee and $29 inspection fee, includes smog (OBD2 only) CEL on you fail, off you pass. Then you have local excise tax, sliding scale, newer model year = higher rate.

Plus here in Ma. that expired sticker is a moving violation, not only a $50 ticket but possibly a 5 year surcharge on your insurance...

Yeah, I loved the secretary of state notice that came saying "it is out of my hands this increase from 99 dollars to 102 dollars for registration...."

OK...

sucks. Most states don't pay 100+ per year...

That just for registration alone?
