Demo did the opposite for me. Turned me off. Was Day 1, then played the demo and moved on to sometime down the road. Felt very anime trope-y. More so than I expected. Maybe I was in a mood but it turned me right off. Pass until its on sale.

Demo is good IMO. Short if you only do the tutorial section and the story section. I didn’t do the other part of them demo.
I also liked it. The combat system felt fluid and was easy to learn. Feels sort of like Tales of Arise in a way but performance mode was 1080p so felt too low res compared to the native 4k.
I was going to buy it day one, but I want to make sure I finish TLOU Part 2 Remastered on PS5™ first.
I think the captain is the main character but you will be able to control female chars.
Yeah, I saw you could control others. But thanks for letting me know about the main. Bummed, but oh well. I just need to stop being such a horn dog.

GBR is a great JRPG but it's over too soon, unless you want to dedicate yourself to the Monster Hunter-lite endgame.

Wait... HLTB has it for 9 hours for main story. That is way too short lol

I was going to play it last night, but I kept on playing TLOU2 Remake. Then I was going to play it this morning before work, but the wife came downstairs and asked if she could cuddle with me on the couch. I guess maybe tonight.
