Halo 5

I loved it, but damn tone down the nades.

that was pretty much the comments I put in the survey, there were just too many of them flying around. I think the sword could be toned down a bit too.

If you tone down the sword, there is no reason to use the sword.

ok more specifically the side hit radius on the lunge, there were times where I swear I dashed clearly out of range and it still got me. Could be lag though I suppose.

i like the faster pace they got going but i want to see how this plays out on big team battle (would like to see them go for 24-32p with that hah)_also looking forward to the sp more.

Toned down bro-fest is nice, but it didn't bother me very much anyway.

Return of the ol spanker as a legendary weapon is pure fanservice and is certainly appreciated.

I like where they're going.

The only feedback I give them is they need to FEED that s*** BACK to my Xbox! I miss it!

All those improvements.....yet....

Nothing about the graphics. I think we all sure do expect at least a 900p resolution and stable 60fps framerate. 1080p would be the best IF stable framerate. But dear 343i........what about:

Finally for a change...i don't know...adding STANDARD video and sound options?

Halo 4 lacked this, but then came the Halo 5 beta and there STILL was not a brightness option. But also simply standard stuff that ANY other game has, sound volume for general sounds and music, why is this not in the game?

So:

- Video options that has a brightness setting
- Audio options that let you turn the music off if you want to, or set the sound for headphones, stereo or surround

Seriously!!!!

My life is not the same without the Halo 5 Beta.

The end of the year can't come soon enough.

I really liked some of the new weapons they introduced. That lock on weapon was very nice.

I think that's not something I agree with.

Played it a bit during the beta. Tough game!

Good to see base speed increased and sprint decreased. It seemed your guy was moving too slow when not running. Sprinting must have been 3x faster.

My biggest issue with the game is the quality of the MP maps. They don't play well, look bland, and are too similar. Assuming the game only has 13 maps as all precious games did, it's kind of disappointing to know that at least 5 of them won't be any good.

I would also like to see them them down the boosting distance and frequency.

I would also like to see them drop the AR starts. Boosting/sprinting make the weapon useless compared against nearly all other weapons in the game.

I would also like to see the sword removed. It feels cheap. Kills with it don't feel rewarding and deaths feel very cheap.

Yeah I don't have major issues with the gameplay but if the maps aren't good then the MP won't be good. This is why I am not too hyped after the beta.

Yeah maps were lackluster. But I tend to think that way about all "arena" style maps. Truth and Regret were meh, empire K, empires variant meh. All the forge ones (even with how grey they were) including crossfire and its variant I liked, oddly enough.

With all these "variants" however, I'm thinking that this may be the halo with the most base maps ever shipped. They don't quite make it on their own merit (They are "complete" maps but are too similar to one another) so to not feel like a cop out, they're gonna need more.
That's my hope anyway.

I would like all original, new maps as well besides the Midship remake, Truth. I thought it was really cheap after all this time that they do Regret too which is Midship crashed into a Halo ring. Enough already. Midship was in Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo: Reach as Zealot, Halo 5 now...I mean don't get me wrong, I like Truth, but that should be it. Then you get Eden which is almost a remake of Empire. After all this production time, it should be tons of new maps. That's one thing Halo has done poorly lately. They always only give you 10 maps on the disc compared to Call of Duty which has 15-17 in most of their games. Halo needs to step up their game. What happened with Halo 4? There were like 4 Big Team maps on the disc. BTB was the most played gametype at the end of the lifecycle of H4. You only had Vortex, Meltdown, Exile, & Ragnarok on the disc though. You played Exile & Ragnarok, two maps, all night because that's all anybody would pick. Then if you bought the season pass, the whole lobby had to have those maps for it to play. I never got to play those maps back in the H4 days.

The only remake I wouldn't mind if they do another one would be Terminal remade for BTB. That was a classic map that never got remade yet.

P.S. I do love all the changes they announced they made since the Beta. I would also like them to make it so your teammates can't push you around when they bump into you, turn off friendly fire completely in all gametypes (or nerf it a ton, sick of betrayals after Master Chief Collection & over the years), and I wouldn't mind if the Battle Rifle took just *slightly* more skill to use from the hip as I rarely even had to zoom it in during the Beta, it was better to not zoom it in honestly.

I really, really hope you are right. These remixes really shouldn't count as whole new maps, and I hope Bungie doesn't think they can get away with counting them that way when figuring out the games' map count. If the game comes out with only 10 or 11 maps with 7 or 8 of them being cramped and bland arena style maps that are just remixes and remakes of of each other, then this game will die quicker than Halo 4.

I also really enjoyed the Forge maps and thought the game played and felt much better on these less-cramped maps. Hopefully we see more of this.

Because it's not really the gameplay that I had much of a problem with in the beta, it was the maps that were my biggest problem, especially with AR starts.

I'm hoping they'll release with a lot more than 12 or so maps. They really need to give us 20 or more...they no longer have the excuse that they can't fit the maps on a disc.

I'm sure 343i will deliver the goods. Halo 5: Guardians is going to be the biggest blockbuster game of our generation. I have every belief they will get it done.

Yeah, I loved the beta too. Graphics looked really good, maps were well though out and it was Halo through and through. I like many of the changes and feature enhancements they are making too. Good list and thanks for posting.

August? I guess they're breaking the traditional November release date for Halo games...maybe they figure there is just too much competition come Christmas time, or, maybe they're hoping to make enough money off the game early that they can either offer a price break or do some sort of Christmas bundle around the holidays to boost sales of consoles. Either way, I'm happy to be getting the game early.

They broke that tradition with 3, ODST, and Reach. Releasing those in September seemed to work so I say go back to it.
