There’s definitely cheating in Halo Infinite, but I think it seems like there is even more because of how damn inconsistent the online multiplayer is all the time. Halo Infinite is the only game where I feel like there’s a dice roll for so many encounters. One game two shots and melee is enough for a kill, the next it’s three and a melee, next a nade and a melee is not enough, one game two heatwave shots are enough, most others it’s three, etc.
I didn't really mind him, bit annoying early on but once he tells his story then it makes sense. Also he should stop killing marines when dropping off vehicles

Damn, looks like he gets around. Hopefully he sticks with his new job.
But the result is the same.
Unless you're 1 of the top players playing at the highest rank, skill point bracket or what ever, your experience will be very different. Yes, you will experience a cheater rarely as they climb the ranks but 99% of the time you wont.
Streamers get it even worse because people stream snipe them.
Not making excuses. Cheating should never happen, and such a lackadaisical approach to it is terrible. But for the vast majority it isn't going to be a big issue. At least as far as ranked goes.
Yeah there's definitely some netcode issues. Those are probably the biggest actually. You'd expect a 4v4 game to run just fine on a modern game, but there's definitely some weirdness. It doesn't happen every game, but it happens too often.
It is funny cause none of the big 2021 shooters work great. Halo is the best of them, but I re-downloaded Apex Legends and have been playing Arenas, a 3v3 single life TDM mode, and it just plays much better than Warzone Pacific, Vanguard, BF2042 and Halo Infinite.
If you like Arena shooters or hero shooters I suggest giving it a try.
I saw on Twitter that people are finding 2042 selling at extremely low discounts at physical retail.
Must be an American thing. I have seen it as low as £50 over here for the current gen which is only a £10 reduction.
I did see that, but that seems to be a one off. It still shows as normal price at most retailers. It was down to $40 for the holiday sales.

Not surprised, people are dropping the game like garbage, had a look at it's steam count the other day and it's almost at the bottom of the top 100.
Game released at the end of 2021 and still was in top tier Platinum for Steam(above many so called hits)

I was just looking at the current player count on steam, BF had a massive launch but seems to have fallen off quickly. And looking at that link it doesn't even feature in most concurrent players.
3rd party games are much bigger on consoles(it's popping on PS5) but the game has been a mega success on PC still as the above shows.
Looking at the list you will see certain games missing.
But that doesn't count...only the minority steam stuff applies.
I think 2042 will bounce back. It has got the hate train chugging in full force. People are acting like it is Cyberpunk levels of bad or something. It will bounce back with some new patches. Dice takes the whole holiday off so they've done nothing on the game for weeks and left it in kind of a bad state.
