It does look like a last gen game. Gameplay fun but visually it isn’t even impressive even by last gen standard.Lol at the replies

Yeah.... There's been forge, jetpacks, online mp etc that propelled this series above the competition before... Doesn't seem to be anything new here?It does look like a last gen game. Gameplay fun but visually it isn’t even impressive even by last gen standard.
I don’t think it really matters to be honest. Not everything needs to be a competition. Halo is its own thing. Overall engagement will probably be higher this time around anyway due to multiplayer being free.Yeah.... It does matter. It is a competition. It isn't its own thing....It is a bog standard arena shooter. Going by what we have seen, it looks like an outdated, generic arena shooter.I don’t think it really matters to be honest. Not everything needs to be a competition. Halo is its own thing. Okay, I'm the first Halo fan to call infinity out for it's shortcomings, but now you've crossed the trolling line lolIt does matter. It is a competition. It isn't its own thing....It is a bog standard arena shooter. Going by what we have seen, it looks like an outdated, generic arena shooter.
It looks like a mkd tier F2P game.
How?Okay, I'm the first Halo fan to call infinity out for it's shortcomings, but now you've crossed the trolling line lol
running on regular x1 I think
I did have several moments when my mind wanted to do the thrust to dodge out of the path of a grenade, but oh well. Sprint (albeit slower) and clamber are still there. The grapple shot is nice, especially using it on someone and whipping by them; I’m eager to try it on vehicles. I will say that I found the shield wall to be mostly useless in on the fly combat situations. It’s time to deploy is actually kind of slow. I also think the threat detector equipment’s range is kind of smaller than I would expect. For actual Halo gameplay, that was weak, imo. looked like every other shooter. Dusty map, camping, blech. Just the player but still. I am already missing advanced movement from this clip. They don't seem like super soldiers
The sound does seem good from a directional viewpoint. The multiplayer vs with real players was amazing. The sound is by far the best sound from Halo to date. Those who don't like sprint can suck a fat one!
Yeah, I keep trying to dash or ground pound lolI did have several moments when my mind wanted to do the thrust to dodge out of the path of a grenade, but oh well. I think the Artstyle is supposed to be very deliberate. Clean and like Concept art. I love it and am a tad disappointed at the same time. I always expected halo to get closer to the cinematics. Still, I dig the overall Art direction, but these maps look really unimaginative so far.I can't make up my mind about the graphics... In this clip the lighting looks ace and the details at a distance looks great, but next clip might look like H3 on 360... Idk
I know that it's always more fun to play than it looks, so I'm holding judgment until I get my hands on it. I can't help but this slavish capitulation to the OG style fans is hamstringing the series from evolving. We will see, I guess. It could just be the clips are people finding their feet. I DO want more interesting looking maps though.I did have several moments when my mind wanted to do the thrust to dodge out of the path of a grenade, but oh well. Well, I'm as old a Halo fan as you can get, and I really loved where they were going control wise in Halo 5...The problem is these old Halo players are trying to be like the MCC, well if they like that style, they can continue to play that.
Sprint was by far the biggest grip for a lot of people and the problem is that if don't add to the game is will be a very slow game and once you get another titanfall or another CoD, you will see people leave.
This will help a lot of players of new stay playing. The old Halo fans are holding back Halo it self.
Yeah but you and I have an open mind and we play a lot of games to understand. Halo 5 multi-player was very good. I just think it change the skill gap for some people and it is asking more to put into.Well, I'm as old a Halo fan as you can get, and I really loved where they were going control wise in Halo 5...
ExactlyIf you like Halo, play it. If you don't, then don't play it.
The game should be the way the developer wants it to be.The Halo community is made up of micro communities with each having their opinions on how a Halo game should be. So as a whole it will never be satisfied. That's the problem.
I agree, but that isn't what's happening. The fans of the old style are really loud. Halo 5 was trying a lot of new things, and they nailed the Balance in the controls and made it feel like it's own thing. The number of people that are bitching because you can still clamber and not have to crouch jump (which is just stupid, imo) is boggling to me. At least 343i had the stones to at least keep a few things. The game should be the way the developer wants it to be.
