The limited series wrapped up Sunday.
It was terrific.
The cast was great. The biggest names would be John Turturro and Michael K. Williams (The Wire and Boardwalk Empire)
It ended on a great note. Simple. Nothing was dragged out.
It's only 8 episodes. Most go over an hour. The final is almost 2.
I can't recommend it enough. Go check it out.

About the last scene.....
I kept saying, "Please have the cat walk by. Please have the cat walk by. Please have the... YES!

Thanks for the reminder! Totally forgot there was a last episode so I just went and watched the last one. I just started watching this a week ago and didn't know it existed until I did. Binged the whole season and honestly thought it was a mini-series. The last episode did an amazing job transitioning this to a series.

If anyone likes The Wire, Oz, Law & Order etc this is must see stuff. HBO.

I wouldn't even know where to start about talking about all the depth in this show....all I'll say is....

Naz is f***ed, the "night of" f***ed up his whole world, his family, his future. The next season/s will be about what really went down, while checking in on Naz from time to time spiraling towards something bad and uninnocent because of what happened to him. That will be hard to watch :(

What do you mean next season? This was a limited series. The story is over.

To answer my own question...

Then again, executive producer Steven Zaillian said some very interesting things during the Television Critics Association's Summer press tour. When asked about a second installment, Zaillian said, "We're thinking about it and if we come up with something we all feel is worthy of doing, we'll do it. This was designed as a stand-alone piece. That being said, there are ways of certainly kind of taking what it feels like and what it's about and doing another season on another subject."

Anyway, I think the original story is over.

Yeah? That's what I thought I read, but that last episode really felt like there was another season being set up. We'll see.
