Yes, I agree. Its why I often go solo. Its strange that when I set my matchmaking to private when I solo I still get players joining my game. I feel bad for kicking them but there are times when I just want to go at my own pace and not have to worry about other players getting the attention of roving patrols making things a lot more difficult than necessary.
Haven't even tried going Solo yet. Is it well balanced?

I wouldn't say its balanced well, you can get overwhelmed very quickly. But there's a benefit to soloing in that you can avoid a lot of combat. I typically run around with the map open and will go prone to avoid a fight. And if you lose line of sight with your pursuers its rather easy to lose Aggro provided you don't run right into a Patrol.

Take the Bot mission to destroy Fabricators. I just scout the Camp for the targets. And then let loose an airstrike on them and run away. Or, I use my favorite support weapon the Autocannon to send a round into the Vent from a distance, the Bots will investigate where the shot came from so its good to shoot and scoot to another location quickly.

But as I said, the benefit of soloing too me is being able to dictate when I get into combat and when its time to retreat. There are times when I attract too much Aggro and have to run from a mission and take on another and then go back to the previous mission after the enemies reset.

And at record low since release. The trend is real. But I agree the game is decent.

Oh and it’s not 6am everywhere 😜

It's going back up already. 0840 am 😛

I foresee it being up and down as they release new content and modes. Looking forward to the rumoured raid mode.

Also still #2 global top sales on Steam. Amazing job by the team.

So record low player count today yet again is a good thing? and a dropping trend is a good thing? In what universe? From today

Yeah, 455 am EST is peak gaming hour for most and the 7k drop from the 612 am you posted yesterday signifies a dying game despite being a top 3 selling game globally still after a month since release for a AA game 🫣 /s

It’s the lowest since launch day and as shown by Steam stats in my screenshot above the game is trending drastically downward overall. Is that a good thing according to you?

It's still top 3 most sold globally today and most played in top 5 amongst ALL games including f2p every single day since launch. Is that a bad thing to you?

You are not concerned about the drastic drop in players?

You are not concerned about the drastic drop in players?

That's for Arrowhead to worry about. Do they sound worried to you in their social media and PR's?

I'm too busy having fun with friends trying to get better guns every time we progress in the game 😉

I am concerned 😟. I don’t like to see a good game drop off the player charts so fast.

Yes this is very concerning being the highest grossing game in February 🫣

"By mid-March, the glorious return to top-down shooting to uphold managed democracy had reached 450,000 concurrent players on Steam, selling an estimated 8 million units.

Helldivers 2 was the sixth most-played shooter on PC/PS in February 2024
In February 2024, Helldivers 2 was the 15th game by Monthly Active Users (MAU) across PC and PlayStation. Among its genre, it ranked sixth. The top markets by MAU were the United States and the United Kingdom. Further breaking down its MAU, the game ranked third on PS and sixth on PC in the shooter genre.

Also, 4.8% of the PC/PS gaming audience played Helldivers 2 this month, ranking it seventeenth in player share.

On average, players spent 20.2 hours per month fighting for the glory of Super Earth. This ranked the game 75th in playtime across all genres and seventh in the shooter genre.

But what about Helldivers 2‘s player acquisition and viewership stats?
Let’s take a closer look at the game’s player base in terms of player acquisition. 35.5% of players who stopped playing Fortnite, 31.0% of the people who stopped playing Palworld, and 28.4% of those who stopped playing Lethal Company this month checked out Helldivers 2.

Solely looking at player acquisition from games within the same genre, 17.5% of those who stopped playing THE FINALS and 16.5% of those who stopped playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II/III/Warzone 2.0 played Helldivers 2.

Apart from playing the game, people spent over 21 million hours watching Helldivers 2 streams across Twitch and YouTube. This made it the seventeenth most-watched game and the seventh most-watched shooter in February 2024.

Helldivers 2 is February’s top game by revenue
It’s also no surprise that Helldivers 2 topped our revenue charts, with premium revenues accounting for the majority of this impressive figure."

Let Arrowhead worry about revenue. What affects me is player count and how fast it’s dropping ☹️

??

The game has performed well over AH expectations as well as for a smaller budget game, which means more support and road maps coming . There is very little risk of them providing no new updates at all.

There are way more games that need worrying than this one trust me lol.

Good lord. Address the question. What about the drastic drop in player count since launch. No need to deflect to other games lol. This is about Helldivers 2.

What's there to address? You're fishing for something with the posting numbers at absurd hours in the morning as if they are peak hours lol

Ask a serious question and we can discuss seriously 😉

There is no concerns about finding a MP game if that is worrying you. It's normal for games to trend slowly downwards after release and every new update like all other games. Where is your concern in the other game threads ?

My chart is all hours my friend. That graph is from launch till now, all hours.

Point still stands. Still hundreds of thousands play on Steam every single day, trending in PS store, still top 10 most played on PSN (just checked).

Again, now isn't the time to worry. You should be playing and enjoying yourself. Maybe a few more months down the line if there are no new content and updates and new games come out.

In all seriousness the game couldn't maintain those numbers. It doesn't have the content.

No game can.

All Single Player games drop off relatively quickly.

All MP games loose most of their players within 3 to 6 months.

But hey, that didn't stop Dried's constant campaign of it in the Xbox section.

The irony.
