So, those new Planet Hazards. At first I thought they were awesome, a Meteor Shower does look awesome.

What's not so awesome it how those damn Meteors seem to lock onto and kill me. This sh!t is starting to feel personal, lol.

Newest patch has f***ed the game. The enemy spawns are insane. Way too many elites and enemies just spawning out of thin air. I'm not that good at the game so mainly been playing difficulty level 5 or 6 and it is a joke now. Mech is cool but I'll wait until they fix the spawns.

The devs would tell you to stop crying and your issue is a skill level one.
 
Loving the mech. I broke 600 kills on one mission with that thing in play!

One of my absolute favourite things about this game is the dynamic weather patterns on the planets. There was a meteor shower on one mission last night and the environment also had the bug spore cloud modifier. I could only see about 20 feet in front of me and all of a sudden these massive explosions start happening all around me. At first I thought it was an artillery strike that got dropped but then I saw a meteor slam into a group of patrolling bugs and obliterate them. Of course I stopped to soak in how awesome this was and then had a meteor drop on me as well. I was blown nearly 300 meters away from my gear drop! :laugh::laugh:

I'm really glad the devs tweaked Chargers armor value, especially in the face/head. Before yesterday's patch things were tuned too aggressively for both the Bugs and Bots.

Things are not perfect since they reduced the amount of heavy unit spawns. They increased spawns of smaller enemies who are now hyper aggressive so things are still a bit unbalanced.

The devs stated that they did this because they were looking at completion percentages of missions done on difficulties 7-9. They found that something like 94% completion on those higher difficulties should have been at or around 75% so they made changes.

I don't know if balancing your game solely on numbers is the right thing to do. I'm still having fun on difficulties 7-8. But I stay far away from Helldive difficulty, its just too frustrating.

I highly recommend watching this video. The guy goes through several bindings for keyboard and mouse and it can make a big difference in how you play. The neat thing about the options available in keyboard binding is that you can either tap, press, hold and long hold each key, effectively making a single key act as 4 different functions.

For example, I have space bar set press for diving but hold for climbing. For mouse right click, press for first person view aiming and long press for third person aiming.

For strategems, setting the direction arrows instead of WASD allow you to keep moving.

To date, neither has revealed sales numbers, but on Steam, Helldivers 2 hit a peak of more than 450,000 concurrent players, while Suicide Squad’s all-time high is less than 13,500, per SteamDB. TD Cowen analyst Doug Creutz estimated that Helldivers 2 has sold more than 8 million copies, and most remarkably, the numbers are growing every week. β€œWe believe the game has performed well ahead of expectations,” Creutz wrote in a note Thursday.
