Henry Cavill to be the next Bond?

10 years too old at least as a new bond. They should be looking at someone in his max in his late 30s & early 40s if pushing it as a fresh Bond.
It just needs to be someone who is British, they don't need to find an American actor or someone from another country to play one of the few globally iconic British characters that is still around. I don't care if it's a Black, Asian, Latin etc person as long as they were actually born in Britain. It also needs to be a man! lol. I'm not even a fan of the series but the character is James Bond not Janine Bond or Jennifer Bond. If they want to make a female character from the MI6 then make an offshoot movie but there should never be anything other than a British (born) male playing James Bond IMO.
I should have been more careful with my wording, to me and most people 007 IS James Bond and I think it should always be that way. Honestly I don't even watch the movies anymore I'm just tired of people trying to take every character and turn them into something else instead of just creating new interesting characters that are female, gay, or different ethnicities. It's extremely lazy and creatively bankrupt to keep gender/race bending IMO. I mean making Superman's son bi in the comics was fine because they didn't try to change Clark Kent but if they had done that I would have been pissed.
I got what you were saying, but I’m saying there was already a female 007. There’s absolutely no fear of there being a female taking over 007 or a Jane Bond. That won’t happen, ever.

LOL Cavill isn't my first choice as Superman, I guess he's ok when playing Superman but I don't buy him as a midwestern farm boy when he's playing Clark lol. Too many people get hung up on his physique, Superman's powers come from the sun not the gym so he doesn't have to be shredded, Christopher Reeve was just in shape and he was fine as Superman. Besides Superman isn't part of an American intelligence agency either
