History Channel's Vikings

Could be soon?

I've just started watching The Last Kingdom which is pretty similar to Vikings. It's quite good. Hope I don't get burnt out on this stuff though haha.

LK is more from the England perspective so it's almost complimentary to Vikings.

It's hard to watch all these shows. I don't watch near as much as I used to, but Vikings is a special one for me.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...... new episode was delicious. Like an hors d'oeuvre. I'm in love with Ivor and I choked up at the bromance moment Floki and Ragnar had. Also, Lagertha in sexy lesbian relationship, yes please.

I won't lie I was kind of pissed when the rope broke :) but it seems like that was for the best. Bjorn and Lagertha as always were great in this episode, I hope we don't go too long without seeing some of Rolo.

Well, judging from previews, he'll come to help someone out. Either in the Mediterranean or England. So the sooner Bjorn and Ragnar leave, the sooner we get some Rolo action.

Glad it's back! Great show.

Is Ivar Ragnar's kid with the lame legs? He's going to be so f***ing evil you can already tell (and it was foretold really)

I mean maybe if he could get it up there he'd be ok, but he's going to be a cold hearted snake now lol.

You don't know the half of it. If you look up the history of Ivor the Boneless, he's bound for a great future.

Yeah I looked it up, interesting. I felt like the show was setting him up to be super evil but I guess not, we'll see.

Really happy the show is back though it's one of the best going.

I guess it could go either way, as not too much is known about Ivor I think. Not to mention evil is a relative term for this world. Evil could mean the difference between life and death in those times. In any case, I doubt they'd turn Ivor into the Vikings version of Geoffrey. I'm sure he'll do one or two despicable things, as Ragnar has done though. He wouldn't be a true viking if he didn't partake in some depravity.

Damn man this show just straight up delivers. The second the latest episode ended I needed the next one but have to wait for it to air, BOOOOOO :(

I'm not sure I've watched a show where it keeps returning to old plot-lines and characters yet that makes it even better somehow. It's not Game of Thrones but it's just a notch below and so reliable.

Still baffled that the History Channel can churn out something this well done all around.

All caught up and I'm floored. The second half of season four could be the final season of Vikings and I'd be okay with it because it all feels just right. I love the story built around the history and the how it all draws you in, even when you know the ending. Ragnar and Eckbert together again was so much fun to watch! Their dialogue is just so natural and real to me. In many ways, I can't help but admire their character and have empathy for the fact that they're forced to fit into the mold of this world, despite being leaders of it.

Latest episode is interesting, but I could see it being the point where the show needs to shut it down in the next few episodes.

Really great show, I'm surprised how few people have watched it.

Haven't seen it. Are the she-vikings smokin' hot and drop top alot or are they just dirty haggard milk maidens? The former could sway my support...:hehe::wink:

edit: Nevermind, just saw this is History Channel...it's the latter. Next!

It's actually the prior. There have been some fantastic TNA moments if that's what you're after you'll be satisfied, along with the whole show being awesome from start to finish and getting better the older it gets.

But after 4 seasons it feels like they could take the original plot to an end pretty easily but maybe they keep going. Either way I'll keep tuning in and anyone who's ran out of shows to watch should check it out. Think you'll be really surprised how good it is.

I was joshing a bit but if there is some bonus TNA I certainly won't turn away. I think I will give it a try.

Daaaaaaaaamn, blood eagle be nasty! lol

I'm looking forward to more revenge. I think there's only two more episodes left of this season? Should be good.

All caught up, brutal end to King Aella. Most brutal death of the series without a doubt. I like how the sons of Ragnar each have unique traits about them. You can tell Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn) channeled his inner Travis Fimmel (Ragnar). His speech to the brothers about being in charge of the army was like him channeling Ragnar's words about being king. Some of the romance plots seem forced, but I must admit that Bjorn/Astrid is something I'm rooting for. At the same time, I'm just sitting here hoping Lagertha and Bjorn don't die what so ever, but I already know the plot twist to Lagertha's end. It was too obvious when she asked the seer and it makes me sad to see the first family of Ragnar become so diminished.

Finally finished off the rest of the season. Almost all of the original cast are gone but a few. Not counting Bjorn. Great find in Ivar though. They found someone with their charisma and personality to breath life into the character the way Travis Fimmel did for Ragnar. Should be interesting to see how he transfers that into an older Ivar. I'm also hoping Floki has his own adventures. Supposedly he's supposed to find Greenland and Iceland. I'd love to see him try to go as far as North America.
