How does the time change affect you?

It usually takes me a few days to adjust because my body really follows the sun rising. In the summer, I'm easily up at 5am without an alarm and I feel really refreshed. I'm usually asleep at about 12am. I have no problems going on 4-5 hours of sleep in the summer. When I get up and it's dark out, like today, I'm pretty tired. In the fall, when we set the clocks, I'm pretty happy in the mornings because it's light out when I wake up.

My wife and I stayed up too late last night, till 11...so technically 10. We goto bed on work nights at 9pm. We wake every work morning at 5am...so this morning felt like waking up at 4...I think we got 5.5 hrs of sleep, I'm exhausted.

Not too bad today actually. Saturday to Sunday I actually got extra sleep than normal since I'm done skiing for the season. Went to bed last night at the normal time. I agree it sucks waking up when dark out but otherwise I feel fine so far today.

Working shifts makes you pretty much immune to light/dark when it comes to sleep etc. When I start work at 4pm and get home at like 7am (when working a long shift), I get home and go to bed and the gf is talking about the previous day as 'yesterday' but I'm calling the day to come (i.e. today) 'tomorrow'. That sometimes messes with my head when I'm really tired.

Meh.

It's like your gf is from the future but you're stuck in some void between the past, present, and future! :surprise:

I loved the time change. I can never complain about an extra hour of sleep!

It always messes with my sleep schedule. You'd think an hour would be no big deal, but it is for me. I can't seem to fall asleep at the normal time anymore. It seems silly but it takes me 2-3 weeks to get adjusted. That said though, I did actually wake up to my alarm this morning instead of the sun coming up, which is good.

Was nice to have an extra hour of daylight in the evening.

It doesn't really change anything for me. My sleep schedule is off the charts to begin with. I'm good with 4-5 hours of sleep during the week. Then on the weekend i'll sleep for 8-10 hours, lol.
