I have some IRL friends who are CoD aficionados. There is a real angry streak in these guys. Every now and then they get so angry that they throw their controllers at the wall.

Short of therapy, will the new x1 controllers support this type of abuse as well as the x360 controllers did?

I think that would be a question better aimed at someone from Microsoft. Send Albert Penello a tweet or something.

How do your friends not put a hole in the sheetrock? They need to find a more controlled stress reliever.

I've hit a steel coffee table numerous times while playing Street Fighter 4. Only the bottom corners but they survived. Some rattle but function perfectly.

If they get this mad at gaming they should stop gaming. You should stop having them over as well. Lol

My controller chucking days are long over, but these are built solid, so I would worry about whatever they come in contact with much more than the controller itself! At $60, I couldn't bring myself to throw it!

The days of controller throwing are behind me.
I do hope the have made the battery pack more solid though 3/4 controllers periodically turn off because the battery pack jingles around

If the gamer reaches a point that involves throwing their controller, then there might be another problem altogether.
