How is tax calculated on online purchases?

Since my XBLM credit converted into dollars and I bought KI and Peggle 2, the purchases add maybe 2% tax to it. Or some other very low %. It's definitely not Canadian tax rates.

Yeah I saw that too and was wondering how they figure that out. I assume it was just whatever MS decides they want to make it? :laugh: Seriously though, I don't know.
 
Sounds like something else for the haters to complain about. Microsoft's getting you with those space dollars and taxes! :laugh:

LOL. I'd rather have 0%, but better than paying 13%!
 
I do not know about you people, but tax (massive 19%) are include in purchase price here.

The authorities, as well as the selling companies, try very hard, to prevent you from purchase on the cheap when you try to buy stuff online. The price diferences can be pretty massive, & things typically costing 50% more (compare to say teh same product in US) are common.
