How might news articles about the console war affect the general population

I often see news on yahoo as lagging behind or being behind ps4. They hyped up a bit with TF but other than that most things have been more on the negative side for them that I have seen.

They link off often, but yahoo is yahoo. They usually go to forbes though

Game developer says it’s ‘physically impossible’ for Xbox One to match PS4 performance

Big new sale makes Xbox One much cheaper than PS4

On its own, hot new mech-style shooter Titanfall retails for $59.99. A year of Xbox Live also has a retail value of $59.99, which adds up to $120 lopped off the cost of the new Xbox One console. Add on Target’s $50 discount and you’re looking at an effective final price of $330.

They do a lot of other semi average news as well such as xbox/ps updates and what that includes, best games etc I'd think those don't get as many hits or interest though maybe...

It was more positive in the beginning.

I don't follow too much mainstream press, though, so I don't have a good feel for it.

For my money, it's mostly the gaming press and community that influence sales, momentum, buzz, etc..

Maybe because of work, I look at it a little for topics. I don't care about general news at all... I just happen to see it.
