Aizen, sure all they could do with your phone is listen to your conversation not utilizing the camera. But what about the 40 cameras you may be around while talking ....
This is what people freaked out about when MS had the requirement that Kintec had to be plugged in an turned on at all times, everyone was afraid the NSA would be taking a look into your home through Kinect. Well looks like it could be on it's way to happening if not already happening.
It is not "already happening". The Snowden leak is from 2008. That's 2 years before Kinect 1.0.
My kinect actually has something over it. I don't want someone watching what me and my family or friends are doing. I never trusted connect after all the NSA crap came out. Not worried about my phone since it faces down or at the sky most of the time. As for them listening to ppl through their phones highly unlikely since the audio would be horrible unless they are directly on the phone. Kinect concerns me more then my phone or any camera watching me on the streets. Kinect is inside my house and I hope MS release a patch to remove the notification crap when you remove it.
People aren't worried about their smartphones? It only knows everywhere you are at all times and hardly ever gets turned off (if at all). Your phone knows every person you communicate with and probably your calendar. Phones are also super simple to hack and have little to no security software on them.
