Really? How did you miss that nugget of info? When the movie was as sucky as it was did you not even get a suspicion ?
Have to watch this later. The first one was enjoyable enough minus the terrible ending.
Look forward to this...though in reality, if an alien civilization has the technology to travel hundreds of light years to get to earth we are toast.
Not necessarily. Tech superiority is not an instant win.
To be honest, beating Aliens on Earth would be relatively simple...you just need to expose them to the petri dish we call home, and let mother nature do her thing.
I do agree, but in reality what we will be facing is not organic life but some form of alien robotic life form sent to do their bidding. Its unlikely that an advanced civilization would descend on our plant for exactly the reasons you stated. Now for a civilization that can create advanced robotics and AI and able to traverse from one star system to another is very likely to be an advanced Type I or a Type II in the Kardashev scale. We are primarily a Type 0 civilization on the fringes of attaining Type I perhaps in 200 years. If they wanted to they can just "glass" our planet without even setting foot.
Apparently he told Fox to cast Jaden as well or he wouldn't sign on. So Fox said fair enough and killed the character off screen.
I enjoyed the first one. I was 11 years old at the time if that matters lol. It's still a guilty pleasure for me but with that said, this sequel looks awesome. Depending on how it turns out this should be the policy on making sequels for some movies. 20 years later and because of that, it can still take place in present day but with the technology learned from the aliens.
