Intel high end 13th and 14th gen CPUs experiencing crashes in games

This is concerning. I have a 13700kf at stock speeds 😱

I'm confident they'll patch it up.

This is old at this point, but in case it hasn't been posted:

And it's odd, when I go CPU window shopping, I'm not seeing 14th gen stuff really. And the 13th gen stuff is not on anything like deep discount.

I wouldn't build a new Intel PC right now if I'm not forced to. Wait for the next chipset.

But it's still something to think about if you're contemplating a new build or even upgrading on the current chipset.

I don't think this is going to be like 8/9th gen Intel where I got totally screwed (I'm still on it, but if my motherboard goes I'm f'd! They just up and stopped making them)

I have the same processor. I've yet to experience anything crashes/errors in any Unreal Engine games. I am playing State of Decay 2 on Gamepass and it's been smooth sailing.

Same tbh. No crashes with the 13700kf and a 4080.

So these reports are just small time?

I can't imagine Intel, or Nvidia, not addressing this in quick fashion.

I'm an Intel guy, not out of fanboyism at all btw, it's just my go to regardless of who's "on top" because it doesn't really matter to me. Fast PC? Awesome. That's about it.

What's Intel's next chipset btw? And when? I can just google that I guess.

Not sure how widespread the issue is but it's enough for some people to voice and get refunds I have heard on a global scale.

And where do they go from there though?

I don't understand this part. What a pain in the ass it must be to get a faulty CPU. That's actually so unlikely to me. I'd be calling out the motherboard before a CPU.

Weird stuff.

Yeah no clue. Probably go AMD lol

Yeah why not right?

So there's like fanboyism between Intel/AMD?

That's on another level for me. Something I can't understand.

But yeah, AMD it is I suppose.

There is as well.

Personally I've always ran with Intel and Nvidia too since I started building PCs so that's what I'm familiar with.

Exactly.

What you're familiar/comfortable with is well.......an important thing.

So what the hell is Intel doing? Right? Be better Intel.
