IR or Universal IR/RF 3D TV glasses, any experience?

I have a 2011 Panny plasma 3DTV that uses IR for the 3D glasses. I am looking for a few pairs for my son, but they're expensive and hard to find (Panasonic brand). I've seen a few brands that are listed as universal IR/RF, are relatively cheap and pretty easy to get. Even though they're listed as both types of pairing, all the reviews for them are from people using RF for syncing with their TV'. Anyone have any experience with any brand universal glasses, specifically IR, or even using them for RF for an overall opinion?

Panasonic' that are manufactured 2012 and later are blue tooth. Before that they're IR.

You should go ask in a TV forum or AV forum you'll get a much quicker answer then on here. this part of the forum is kind of dead.

That's what I ended up doing and read some A/V forums. I ended up with, what reviews said, are some pretty good universal glasses.

Thanks. I'm really indifferent to 3D, I was really looking cause my son really wants to use it. As long as the glasses work halfway decent I'll be happy.
