That's me every Friday. The day can never get here soon enough, and I still have 20 years before I can retire. Anyone else count down the days to Friday and cherish every weekend? What are you doing this weekend? I think we are going up to our cabin tonight, but then to Green Bay on Saturday to get some pumpkins. Then probably watch the UW Badger football game at a bar, and do a tour of the Green Bay Packers stadium.

Normally Andy would probably chime in, but that douche has taken a Union break! :)

Going to my buddies' surprise 30th birthday party tonight in my hometown, and then heading to Charlottesville tomorrow to pick up wine for my girlfriend's brother's wedding in a few weeks. Might do some apple picking and beer tasting while we're up there. Then Sunday watching football and napping all day

Joker, catch up with some m8s and yard work. And since it’s pay day I’ll treat myself to a nice steak

You just reminded me that I need to go see Joker this weekend as well. I might have to go on Sunday! What kind of steak are you getting?

A relaxing weekend of a movie or two. Finally have a 'nothing to do" weekend that I haven't had in months.

Any specific movies?

You a big craft beer guy? I love visiting every possible brewery that I can.

Not a damn thing. Probably a little gaming, horror movies, cooking and football.

What are you cooking?

Judy, Brittany Runs a Marathon, and maybe Joker again.

no clue lol, there’s a new steak house up town, may try that. But I may try and cook one and bbq if it’s a nice Sunday.

you or anyone recommend a good steak/steak-recipe?

I’m a ribeye kinda guy. I like grilled steak using the reverse sear method. I normally use a little seasoning a good marinate I enjoy.

To me no steak restaurant can ever beat a steak I can grill at home.

Prime at the minimum. You should try a dry aged steak if you've never had one. Reverse sear on a charcoal grill as lowdru2k if you don't have a sous vide circulator, which you probably don't. Keep steak seasoning simple for prime or dry aged, salt and pepper. On a prime you can add some garlic powder. If searing on a charcoal grill, just do it over the coals. If you're doing it on the stove, butter, butter, butter. Sear and baste. You can also do that on a charcoal grill as well if you have a pan to put on it such as a cast iron pan.

I am finding more and more that reverse searing is the way to go. I have yet to do it, as I only have been hearing about it the past few months, but now I am going to give it a try.

I do like the flavor of ribeye due to the fat flavor it has, but I have always had filets due to the lack of fast. But we were at a grill your own last weekend, and I did a ribeye and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOO good, and it actually was very tender. I cooked it medium rare-medium, but I crisped the edges. Oh my god, yum.

Not sure yet. Craving some grilled bacon wrapped cheese stuffed peppers again. Great snack for game day.
Can't say I have heard of that. I have had stuffed peppers, usually rice, ground beef, cheese, etc. But never BACON wrapped! Sounds really good!

Judy, Brittany Runs a Marathon, and maybe Joker again.
I guess I need to look up Judy and Brittany Runs a Marathon because I have never heard of those. My wife wants to see Strippers.

If you have HBO that's where I caught the newest version of Halloween. Pretty good! Very similar vibes of the first one, especially with the old school music.

Yeah I love going to breweries, it's basically all we do here in Richmond. We've got probably 20+ within 5 miles of my house, it's awesome.

My wife wants to see Hustlers, not Strippers, lol.

I'm working late. I have to wait till It's Freakin' Saturday.

I might go to the VR place at the mall and mow down zombies in Arizona Sunshine on HTC Vive.

For now, I'm really early for a Sam's Club delivery at 4pm in Hattiesburg, MS so I'm just killing time on my laptop. Unfortunately, Walmart will not accept early deliveries because they're run by a******s. Maybe I'll stream some Netflix while I wait.

tumorman we rented it awhile back. It was decent. I did like the way it was shot and the music.

My favorite reverse sear method I use is on my pellet smoker. I’ll smoke 2 ribeyes at 180 for 45 minutes or so. Then take them off crank it up to 450 then when it hits above 400 degrees I put steaks back on and cook them on each side for 2-3 minutes depending on how thick they are. We like ours medium rare/medium they turn out with a perfect taste and tender every time.

I need to make some Ribeye's just like that! Good thing I am taking notes.

Yep love a good Friday. Not doing too much this weekend. Local junior hockey team starts their season tomorrow night so going to that game. Otherwise probably just some gaming, reading, and maybe a horror movie.

What book are you reading?

If you ever want to make them yourself. Get good sized Jalapeño peppers cut in half get out all the seeds. Mix cream cheese and shredded cheese together stuff into each pepper, wrap them in bacon (I got 10 peppers so it made 20 took 2 regular packs of bacon), and grill or bake in the oven. They are awesome.

I will do just that. Thank you so much! Though I only need like half of that.

Normally Andy would probably chime in, but that douche has taken a Union break! :)

Well, if that douche were here, he'd probably say, "Retirement is great!"

20 years is a long time. I'll bet there are ways you can speed that up, if you put your mind to it. There's a lot of misinformation out there about what it takes to retire.

I hope you are enjoying your free time Andy! :ylove:

Might be a huge rain out weekend with a Cyclone forming in the gulf. Finishing early Friday morning deliveries in Mississippi so maybe I can get home and park before this rolls in.

Probably wind up gaming a lot or maybe chill on the porch with a nice drink and storm watch.

I also ordered some music gear from Amazon that might get in on Saturday.
