i thought there was a spark/ship between Rey and Fin, especially when they hugged inside the base.

they pretty much followed the old EU (not European Union starseeker ;) ) with palpatines return and wanting a new body, no?

That's probably true although I have a hard time believing they started talking about her parents in the first movie and didn't have some kind of plan for them to be important to the story. Johnson really F'd up the whole trilogy by deciding he wanted to do his wanna be battlestar galactica meets star wars fan fiction movie instead of going along with the storyline that was started in the first film. Kathleen Kennedy should have been fired after the second movie came out.

I definitely think the first movie is intending to set up something there with Rey but even in that case Finn is given equal importance

But like you said its on Disney for not having some kind of general outline for a trilogy

Nah. Guys supporting Snyder but constantly bashing WB and demanding a couple people get fired otherwise he won't work with them

I’m still really interested in this cut of JL looking forward to watching it. Will save judgment till then. I for one liked BvS Director’s Cut. Only thing that bothers me watching it is they should’ve went with a different actor for Lex.
