Still upset about that massive Fallout 4 hoax? Here's some good news for you: The next entry in Bethesda's post-apocalyptic RPG series is real, it's in development right now, and, as rumored, it appears to be set in Boston, according to casting documents obtained by Kotaku.

This is the first confirmation we've received that the next Fallout game is in the works—although it's been generally assumed that Bethesda Game Studios, the development studio behind Fallout 3, has been working on a new Fallout since completing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim back in 2011, Bethesda has yet to announce the new game in any form. In 2012, rumors circulated that Bethesda employees were scouting the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston for an upcoming Fallout game, but other than that, news has been thin.

It discusses the main character’s great great-grandfather, who served in the army in 1945. Expecting that the bombs that ended World War II would be a harbinger of absolute atomic warfare, the narrator expresses surprise that it took until the 21st century for the world to end in nuclear fire.
 
Oh man this is awesome news. Finally something concrete on Fallout 4. Very slim chance that this is fake, right?

Do youself a favor, if you have a decent PC then play it on there. There's full X360 pad support and the ability to mod every aspect of the game to your liking will go a long way to helping you immerse yourself in the game(s).

And good choice on NV over 3, I think it's much more accessible for people due to the sci-fi western feel.

IMO they can put TES on the shelf for 5 years, bring out FO4 then give us yearly DLC nearly as large as the main game itself.

If it's just Fallout 3 with prettier graphics I'll be disappointed. I wantz vehicles,damn it!
 
This is great :bow: had hoped for Chicago or Colorado as each of them was mentioned in Fallout 3 (talk about Chicago) and Fallout: New Vegas (talk about Colorado), but Boston could be an interesting setting as well.

Like I said back in the other thread, Boston could be a very good setting.

I have never played these games but I have lived in Mass and currently live in NH, if this is true Fallout 4 will be my first Fallout game.
 
I won't allow myself to be excited just yet. I'm still numb from finding out it was a hoax, and now you tell me it wasn't a hoax, or it WAS, however Fallout 4 is actually real.

What's really real anyways? Great, now I got a nose bleed.

Well if you have about 200 hours to waste you could check out Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

The stockings have been hung and the lights are all out at the office. The Panzerhund is curled up on his platform
while the Brotherhood of Steel keeps an eye on the premises.
The Dovahkiin gets into a snowball fight with Boxman thus becoming Snowvahkiin. Just a normal holiday break when the team is away.
